does the mirena birth control make you not feel urself? please anyone with stories share

hey im erica im a young teen mom i hope this helps u i have epilepcy so my obgyn put me on the iud mirena and at first i loved it but now i hate it i dnt feel as if im me i want it out i keep looking on these websites for info hopeing ppl r having the same side effects . i feel moody preganat my son is 17 months i feel as everyones watchin me and im huge i wanna cry all day i feel flutters in my belly i got preg test today was neg so gone call dr tomorrow n tell him i dont feel like me "/ i can be just adjustin only had this object in my uturus for 4 months now so maybes thats it idk theres ppl out there that love it every ones diff well i hope this helped u n god bless

I havent heard of the mirena doing that but its possible. I was on it for 6 months and had severe pain in my lower stomach the whole time and had to have it removed.

I think if its doing this you should get off it for awhile and try something new and see if it helps but trust me no sex while your switching birth controls thats how i got pregnant with my son! Good luck i hope you start feeling better.

I agree, you should go and talk to the nurse at your clinc where you had it fitted as everyone is different.. I've had mine for almost a year now and it's the best thing I ever done....my periods are alot lighter and I'm generally alot happier. I did suffer from bad cramping pains initially after it was fitted and thought about having it taken out but I,m so pleased I stuck with it now.

I have the mirena. i already had depression so i cant really tell u if that has anything to do wit it. ive been losin weight. i didnt notice it til clothes started fallin off. i have been workin out everyday and watchin wat i eat. i think it completely depends on the person, but i would deffinitely talk to your doctor. it mite just not be the thing for you.

I am the same way i have eczema,weight gain some depression, my boobs are tender more times than usual, i have headaches, discharge.....well on and on it seems! It hurts when my hubby and i have sex. But that u can change by changing positions.! I like having the iud but i dont want to have to be on the pill again and my Bluecare paid for my iud after my son was born and im not on any other ins so im going to keep it until something drastic changes...?

Maybe if you talk to someone about the Implanon?

Did you ever use the pill??? In theory the side effects should be much less than on the pill (which can cause depression and weight gain as well).
