I made my first attempt at making homemade spaghetti sauce, it turned out so-so...but it made alot.

Does anyone have suggestions on using up the leftovers besides spaghetti?! I froze about 3 containters of sauce.

I usually make rice balls and use the sauce to pour over them. They kinda are a bit of work, but my son(who is 7) loves to help make the balls. Which makes it go faster and lots of fun! Its his fav meal!! If this sounds good I can send you the recipe : )

Breadsticks or mozzarella sticks as a snack or after school treat. Keep in fridge and in a couple days make lasagna or a veggie soup.

Add some ground beef, pinto beans, kidney beans, and black beans, corn and some bell pepers, chop up an onion and garlic and some chili powder and some cayenne peper and make a pot of chili.. Let it cook all day on low, absorb all the flavors and serve with some corn bread. Great for a cold rainy day and excellent reheated the next day for lunch..

Well i always done was like take chicken pieces, wash really good season them how you like and lay them and the bottom of a cassarole dish, chop some onions on top of the chicken and then lay you sauce on top of the chicken and onions. Cover it and bake at 350 degrees, till the chicken is done and well cooked and take it out and sprinkle cheese on top and cover and serve. Very good....
