This is my favorite pot roast recipe: http://tastebudding.com/recipes/73-sunda...

You may want to increase the meat to 4lbs, and cook time to 3.5 hours (only about 15 minutes is active, the rest cooks on it's own!) Serve with garlic bread and you are sure to have a crowd pleaser from adults and kids alike!

chili and cornbread. just made it for my night crew at work. have to feed. 22 peope. cost for me was $24.00 not too bad.a little more than a dollar a person. of course any pasta dish is budget friendly too. try. or get chicken breats, boil, pull apart and make a pasta dish. with side salad. my budget each month for groceries is $60.00. leaned how to stretch a buck good luck. hope it turned out well

or you could have a pasta party. Make two kinds of pasta, one noodle-type and one macaroni-type. Then make a pesto, alfredo sauce (you can do this in the microwave it is so eady) and vegetable tomato sauce. Serve with caesar salad and fresh baguette (optional garlic butter).

What's the occasion? Formal or informal? Kids or adults? Two pans of lasagna or two chickens. I like to go with a big pot of chile or spaghetti sauce. Add fresh bread, salad and some finger foods.

A big pan of Lasagna will feed 9 for sure and you'll probably have left overs for lunch.

Throw together a tossed salad and a loaf of garlic bread. Viola!!! Dinner is served.

i would go to the butchers and get some kind of nice roast, whether it be beef or pork, or a chicken even!! with potatoes and choose different colored veggies so it looks nice on the table, with some gravy and hollandaise sauce perhaps!!
