My little girl (9months) is being weened off breastmilk and she hates the formula with a passion. She screams everytime we feed it to her. I've been told she'll get used to it but its been nearly 4 weeks now and still reacts the same way. I've been told to try adding Milo and to try a different formula. I'm wondering if there is a particular brand of formula that babies like?

I've used similac sensitive and then I've recently switched her to the babies r us brand Lactose Sensitive. She actually seemed to like the babies r us brand better. Good luck and hope everything works out for you.

reglar formula nothing special most hospitals give similac advance now. But you can you whatever kind you want but as you ween her try slowly add more formula to her bottle.

1st bottle use:

1 part formlua to 3 parts breastmilk. Make formula as directed on package and add 3 parts breatmilk to it.

(So for an 8 oz bottle use 2oz formula and 6 oz breast milk)

and try that for a like 3 days(Or however long it takes for her to except but give her at least 2 day inbetween if possible).

Then try to ake it a 50/50 bottle.

Try for 3 day

and then 3 parts formula to 1 part breast milk

and after 3 days

try only formula.

My son is 15months and I had to wean from whole milk back to formula and this did the trick along with my 5 month old from milk based formula to hypo-allergenic formula. Good Luck,.

I use Enfamil for my baby girl and she loves it. My sister has to use a soy formula because my niece can't take milk but I've had friends who swear their baby will only take Similac - I would ask your doctor for samples of each - they usual have them on hand for cases like this ;) Good luck!!

My son was on Neosure and Enfacare when he was discharged from the hospital. After about 2 months he just refused to drink it anymore. Because he would skip meals, I tried Similac Sensitive and he's been drinking it since.

My daughter was eating Enfamil A+ formula. She is also nine months, and we have been having a hard time getting her to take it. Our doctor has decided that she is ready for Homo (whole) milk. She can't really afford to loose weight so that was a choice the doctor and I made for her. Have you tried mixing the two together? 1/2 breast milk and 1/2 formula? Good luck:o)

Have you tried putting the bottle close to your breast when feeding her? The smell of your milk might encourage her to take the bottle.

Does she scream at the taste of it? Or is it after she has eaten some. Have you considered allergies. Formula is made from cows milk which some babies can not tolerate. Have you tried soy? If that's not it and she really just doesn't like the taste you will probably just have to try differant brands. I used Good Start with DHA & ARA with my son. He seemed to like it. Good luck.
