I will going in for surgery soon and since my husband can not cook I am looking for recipes where I can freeze all the ingredients then just throw it in the crock pot or he can. Or any easy recipes that don't require a lot of work Thanks!!

I tend to do a big batch of bolognese sauce. On the day of cooking, use what we want for the meal, the portion off the rest and freeze so that it just has to be pulled out of the freezer, defrosted and heated up again. Could be then done as spaghetti bolognese, lasagne, cottage pie or even over a baked potato (latter could be done in the microwave to save time).

Other 'useful' meal ideas include things like fried or scrambled eggs. Once he's mastered the basic scrambled egg he can then work up to different flavoured scrambled egg mixtures. Another quick and easy is baked beans on toast, which can be bulked up from a snack to a meal with fries, scrambled egg etc.. I know that if I want something quick and easy then scrambled eggs, baked beans and toast is the quickest, could be served with chips/fries.
