My childhood favourite is lovingly called "Macaroni Mush" at our house
Brown hamburger, slices onions, and some garlic in a pan
Drain, if needed
Add one large can of stewed tomatoes (two, if you like it runnier)
Add cooked Macaroni noodles, enough to feed your family
Mix well
mmm... we love Macaroni Mush! I usually make a HUGE pot because it's always better the next day :)

My kids call this Beef Buckets, that sounds horrible to me but I have lost track of the real name at this point!
1 lb ground beef browned and drained
BBQ sauce mixed in (the amount to your liking)
a little brown sugar mixed in too if the BBQ sauce is not a sweet kind.
1 tube of Pilsbury type biscuts (8 is what I use)
flatten them/stretch them out a bit with your hands and place in a muffin tin with a well to put the beef mixture in.
gratted cheese over the top
bake until buiscuts are brown (usually what the package states for time and temp)
My 10 and 11 year old love this. Good Luck

I have done a tatertot casserole but with a little variation:
1 lbs. ground beef
2 cans cut green beans (drained)
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
milk
tatertots to your liking
cook tatertots to package directions. I usually use a cookie sheet full. Brown the meat in skillet. Drain. In a 13 x 9 or 4 quart casserole dish mix soup and milk (2 soup cans of milk) Blend well. Add your grean beans, hamburger, and tatertots. Leave enough tater tots to garnish the top. Bake covered for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. I sometimes season the soup with Mrs. Dash steak seasoning and the hamburger with garlic and onion powder. It's my favorite that I got from my mom. Hope you enjoy.

I have used green beans for the veggie but I stick with the cream of mushroom soup because I love it I am a picky eater and I don't use tomato soup at all because I don't care for it but I am sure it would be good if you liked it.
Hamburger Stroganoff is another good recipe too you brown up hamburger then add cream of mushroom soup sour cream a can of mushrooms drained and I add 8 oz of cream cheese stir it until it is well blended and the cream cheese is all melted in and serve it over egg noodles. When I make this I always mix my mushroom soup and milk in a bowl with a wisk before adding it to the pan and I make it to the consistency of a med thickness and I use the family size can but I cook for 5. Let me know if your family likes this one too.

I make "Cheeseburger pockets" I mix cheese, bacon, hamburger (whatever you might have on your burger that will cook nicely) chop it up and brown it together (add cheese after browned and drained).
I make my own dough but you can use any bun or bread frozen dough that you follow rising directions- roll out and cut into pieces to fit your meat, wrap around and bake 8-10 min until the bread is done.
GREAT for kids becuase they can pick them up an dip them.

I've been using more ground beef lately, so what I have been doing is cooking all the ground beef I need for a few weeks and freeze the cooked meat in ziplock bags (In menu size portions). This has made it even easier to make dinner on the nights the recipe calls for ground beef. I can even just cumble off a little bit to throw on a pizza.
Meal ideas for ground beef:
package of walmart brown gravy, mashed potatoes (boxed or real) and ground beef.
taco salad
sloppy joes
chili
spaghetti
macaroni cass (basically spaghetti with cheese on top and elbow noodles)
burritos (roll beans, meat, veggies, salsa and cheese in flour tortilla and bake. To make it 'fancy' puree the salsa or canned tomatoes with chilis in a blender and pour in a line over burritos before baking)
Good luck

Try this:
Cheeseburger Pie
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chopped sweet onion
1 small can (6 ounces) sliced black olives, drained
1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley

Layer with the ketchup, chopped onion, olives, and cheese. Bake in a preheated 400° oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Sprinkle with the parsley and cut into wedges. Serve cheeseburger pie hot.

Vegetable Beef Soup
* 1 Tbs oil
* 1 medium onion, diced
* salt, to taste (keep in mind how salty your broth may be)
* 4 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 lb ground beef
* 1/2 packet onion soup mix
* 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
* 1 Tablespoon sugar
* 2 cups beef broth
* 14 oz can diced tomatoes
* 3 small potatoes, diced
* 3 large carrots, sliced
* 1/2 cup cut fresh green beans
* 2 Tbs oil
* 4 oz mushrooms, quartered
Sweat the onions in 1 Tbs oil over low heat until they change color. Season with salt. Add the beef and garlic and increase heat to medium. When the beef is brown, add the broth, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, tomatoes, potatoes, and carrots. Bring to a boil and simmer until vegetables are almost soft. Add green beans. Meanwhile, sauté the mushrooms in 2 Tbs oil. Add the mushrooms to the soup just before serving.

Easy Crock Pot Chili
Brown one pound ground beef and place in crock pot. Add two cans of beans, undrained (I use one can black and one can pinto), and one can diced tomatoes. Sprinkle half a packet of Williams chili seasoning over the top. Don't stir until ready to serve - the spices get toasty hanging out on top. Cook on low 6-8 hours. Serve over pasta or rice, topped with cheese. (Alternately, use half a pound of ground beef and three cans of beans.)

Taco Casserole
* 1 Tbs oil
* 1 medium onion
* 1/2 lb ground beef
* 8 oz can tomato sauce
* 1 small (4 oz?) can olives ( or try mushrooms, corn, or bell peppers)
* packet taco seasoning (I usually use half the packet)
* 15 oz can refried beans
* about 4 cups corn chips
* cheese
Cook the onion (and bell pepper, if using) in oil over medium low until it begins to soften. Add the beef and cook until brown, stirring to break into chunks. Add the tomato sauce, olives, and seasoning.
Stir water into the beans until they are a spreadable consistency.
Slightly crush the corn chips, and place half in a 13x9" baking dish. Cover with half the meat mixture. Spread half the beans over it. Repeat layers with the other half of the ingredients. Top with cheese. Bake 25 minutes at 350. Serve with salad.

Heres a recipe for Pizza Cassarole:
Turkey or hamburger meat (i use turkey)
spagehetti sauce

mozs cheese

egg noodles or lasagna noodles
(with this recipe you can add everything you like on a pizza into this dish, you can add sausage, blk olives, bacon, anything)
Basically cut your meat, peppers and onions. Drain. Mix up your meat and spaghetti sauce and season to your and your families liking. Place your layer of noddles in a greased dish then layer with your meat and sauce mixture, then add your pepperoni and other ingredients, layer with mozarella cheese. Repeat til you get to the top of your pan. Bake in oven at about 400 or 450. til all cheese is melted.

Tater Tot Casserole. Very Easy!! Very Quick, except the cooking part(about 30-35 mins). It was in the Kraft Foods Fall magazine. I am proud to say it is mine!! They made it different than the actual recipe I sent them. But anyway, it is.......
1 lb of hamburger meat, 1 can of cream of celery soup, 1 package of cheddar cheese, and a bag or Tater Tots. You can add finely diced onions if you like as an option too.
Preheat oven to 350 F
Brown the meat(and onions, optional) and drain. Mix the soup with the hamburger and place mixture in a 8 x 11 casserole dish(I usually mix the meat and soup in the casserole dish). Layer the cheese on top and then the tater tots. Place in preheated oven for 30-35 mins until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling. I turn on the broiler for a couple of minutes to help it along and make it crisp.
We usually have a salad or green beans with it and it has proven to be VERY kid friendly even to the picky eaters. It does look and sound odd but it is very tasty! Hope this helps!!

I make sheperd's pie brown up the hamburger and while I am doing that I boil enough potatoes to make mashed potatoes, Then I put the browned burger in the bottom of a casserole dish then I prepare a can of cream of mushroom soup only using half a can of milk instead of a whole can pour it over the burger I then add 1 or 2 drained cans of corn you can use frozen too then I mash up the potatoes and spread it over the corn, soup, and meat and I cook it for about 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees. I hope you like it.

Do you like mexican food.... Saute onionsand green peppers. remove from pan then add gound meat and cook. Once the meat is cooked add the cooked onions and peppers, throw in a bag of frozen corn, shredded mexican cheese, taco mix and a jar of salsa. Cut for a 5 min until flavors are blended. Remove from heat and place in a caserole dish. Using a box of Jiff corn muffin mix, prepare mix as per box instructions. Pour over meat mixture in caserole dish. Bake in over on 375 for 20 - 25 min. until corn muffin mixture is golden brown. I also usually make a salad to go along with this dinner. Hope you like it, it's one of our favorites.

Get a pack of frozen pie crusts (pillsbury works fine), a package of ground beef (I use lean), peel some potatoes (3-4 large do the trick) and peel some carrots or use 8-9 baby carrots sliced up. Mix carrots and potatoes together. Brown the beef, adding salt, pepper and a little garlic powder to taste. Preheat oven to 350. Roll out dough and cut into little turnover size. Put potatoes, carrots and beef in middle and add a top part of the turnover. Press to seal. Cut hole in time to let everything breathe inside. Add a small pat of butter to hole to moisten inside. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until brown on a cookie sheet. Any unused potatoes, carrots and beef can be boiled in a little bit of water to cook, adding salt, pepper, and beef bullion cubes. Serve over turnovers. My husband likes cheese soup served over it, but I like it fine plain. Really easy, has one pot appeal, and great on a cold day.My mom called them pasties.
