Here is my story, I have been at home with my two youngest for the last for years (4 year old and 2 year old). I had complicated pregnancies so I was ordered bed-rest for both which made it even harder to keep a regular job. So I started cooking, I cook and baked day in and out experimenting with recipes. I fell in-love with everything to do with food and started blog which ran for 3 years.
At the same time I had also started a few more project online since I had gone to school for web design and I had to do something to help bring money into our home. I am married and have 4 kids total so I did not want to leave it all to my husband who was already working crazy hours to make sure bills, food and any other expenses were covered.
Then about a year ago I decided that I was going to gather all my recipes a write a cookbook and publish it. I have been able to do everything on my own with a lot of help from my kids and hubby. But like a lot of things money and time are a huge factor. My cookbook is complete and I will be self publishing it via Amazon, Barns & Noble and iTunes October 1st 2012.
I would love for my book to be picked up by a publishing house as this would get it seen by a larger audience. That unfortunately is not my reality, I am having to do it all by myself and as much networking, Tweeting, Facebooking etc I have done it still yet to gain a huge momentum.
Right now I have started a promo which encourages people to buy the sneak peak version now which is in PDF format for instant download so you can see what to expect form the book as a whole and get excited about the recipes.
