There is a great book out by Readers Digest called "Homemade", 702 ways to save money and the earth. It had tips on how to make everything at home from Green cleaning products, health and beauty products, pet foods, etc. I checked it out from my local library, but may end up buying from a bookstore because of the many helpful tips.

Hi there so sorry for the late reply. Been having computer issues. Here are a few of my favourites:
Great odour oborber for bathroom, diaper pail etc.
In an 8 oz fine mist spray bottle fill with vinegar and add 20-30 drops of an essential oil (make sure food grade) . My fave is peppermint oil.
Note: for vinegar I only use heinz since it isn't as strong smelling as other brands.
To clean a toilet with stains...plunge until water very low. Pour about 1/3 of big bottle of vinegar (here in Canada I buy 4litre bottles)...close lid and leave overnight. Next morning give a quick brush and flush.
Cleaning floors I use dr bronners soap and water and mop. Then follow with a vinegar rinse.
Vineger rinse:
16 oz squirt bottle..fill with equal parts distilled water and vinegar. add 15-20 drops essential oil..I like peppermint or lemon.
For kitchen counters, table, sprinkling carpets, garpage pail etc. I mix one box of baking soda and 11 drops of lemon oil and 6 drops of lime oil. Then I put it in an empty grated parmesan cheese containder and sprinkle. To rinse counters after you can use vinegar rinse..esp. on the taps and sink..makes it shine.
for bathroom I make a paste and put it an empty peanut butter jar (the big one with a screw top lid)
Mix 11/3 cup baking soda with 1/2 cup of dr bronners liquid soap..(I like almond or peppermint)
Add 2 tbsp of water...mix with fork until smooth
Stir in 2 tbsp of vinegar last
you can also add a few drops of ess oil if you'd like.
use it anywhere in the bathroom as a scrub. rinse then follow up with a vinegar rinse
These are just a few of my favourites..enjoy!

I add food grade essential oils to my vinegar and to my baking soda. My favourites are peppermint and lemon. A great book with different recipes is Clean House Clean Planet. The author also uses essential oils. I can post a few of my favourites here if you'd like.

I know this might sound crazy, but Bounce sheets work wonders on lots of stuff. Almost anything you would use a Mr. Clean magic brush on you can use a bounce sheet instead and it is so much cheaper. I use it on my stove, my staneless steel faucets and my sinks.
Also use 1 part baby oil and 2 parts water and soak paper towels in them to make homemade baby wipes.
