Why stop cold turkey? I weaned both my girls off by reducing the number of times they nursed each day so I didn't suffer engorgement! I have heard you should wear tight bras and don't stimulate your nipples, not even in the shower, however if your in a lot of pain you may want to stimulate a let down in the shower just for some relief and slowly cut back so your body gets the hint not to produce milk anymore.

I've heard peppermint is used for stopping breast milk production, haven't tried it. I would say you would need to drink several cups of peppermint tea a day or find some foods to add it to.

Cabbage leaves on your breasts will dry up the milk!

Also, I heard that spearmint works, too. I think you have to eat a lot of minty and drink mint tea. Not sure if it works.

Cabbage leaves do work very well and quickly.

Sara,

Bind yourself around your Breasts.

Wear a bra that is a size smaller than you are.

Be sure to use the breast pads.

IT IS GOING TO HURT!

You may need to squeeze your breasts a little so the milk will

STOP being engorged in your breasts.

ICE helps too. But just do 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off.

with an ice pack wrapped in a towel.

Be sure to use, Vitamin E and a special breast cream to help them heal.

Depending on how sore they are and if they are bleeding you may want to

consult your doctor.

You did not say how old your child is.

Is you baby on Formula or Vitamin D Milk (RED CAP) ?

IF THEY ARE UNDER FIVE BE SURE TO ALWAYS USE THE RED CAP.

UNDER ONE YEAR, GIVE FORMULA FOR ONE YEAR!

I LIKED SIMILAR WITH IRON.

I know they have changed some but check the label.

Iron is very important for brain development!

I'm sure you already know this but someone reading this may not!

GOOD LUCK WITH THE DRYING OUT!

Depending on how long you nursed you can get a shot or pills to dry up.

Again ask your Doctor.

Let me know if this helped you.
