My son also had texture issues. I made his baby food in my food processor, and to make the transition to table food I would puree what we were eating. Once he got used to that, I started making his food chunkier. Eventually he was just eating what we were. He still doesn't like different textures if I spoon feed it to him. However, if I just put it on his tray and let him feed himself then he'll eat it after inspecting it.

failed to mention the ripe bananas, frozen blueberries or raspberries are a fave, and the zwibbek toasts work well... the idea of the toast and frozen berries are great for those horrible molars that cut as well! :-)

i found that starting out with just some cherrios or the gerber puffs (sweet potato or sweet corn, verses the fruity ones) worked well, for my girl when she started to do the finger food thing... it's worth a shot! :-)

our son loves peas, edamame, sweet potato fries, almost any berries or fruits as long as they're really ripe and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches all cut really small. All of this can be organic (most of the time it is for us as well).
