500g bite-size chunks of tender beef

2 tbsp sesame oil

2 tbsp brown sugar

5 tbsp soya sauce

1 "heaping" tbsp chopped garlic

veggies (my favorites are onions, mushrooms, bean sprouts and spinach)

Mix all the ingredients together in a large airtight container (by hand works best). Place in the fridge for at least 3 hours (overnight is ideal). Cook in a wok and serve over rice or rice noodles.

Great for when you are cooking for a dinner party since all the chopping was done ahead of time. You won't be stuck slaving in the kitchen while your friends/family are over.

A word of warning: if you take this to a pot luck you will never be allowed to bring anything else again! I am no longer asked to bring something, I am just "reminded" to bring this dish ;)

Ok.....so I'm going to try this recipe this week and I have couple questions.  When I marinade the beef do I also marinade the veggies with it?  And when I go to cook it do I cook it with whatever liquid is left or not?

thanks! I've always wondered how to make this (but never found such a simple recipe)!
