Marinade cube steak in buttermilk for a few hours. Dip steaks in beaten egg and then in crushed saltine crackers. Fry in oil in a skillet.

These ladies are saying cube steak but it is the same recipe. Just use chicken instead of the cube steak. Make sure you pound the chicken breast flat though. Good Luck

Heres, as easy as I can make it if you want it good:( make sure you get cubed steak) First get a large skillet and put a litte oil in the bottom, about an eigth of an inch or so, set the burner between med. and med-high do that the oil is getting hot while you do the rest. Put a little flour on a plate, enough to coat both sides of all the meat, then in a bowl big enough to dip the steaks in individualy, in the bowl crack one egg and add 1/4 cup of milk and beat together well. Next, you can either do this in an open bowl with a wisk, or a bowl with a lid and shake which is what I do, put enough flour to coat the meat again( not the same as earlier but seperate) add your spices. Things can never have enough flavor, just add whatever he may like, just don't go overboard on the salt. I use garlic and onion powder, a little black pepper, and a dash of cayenne pepper. The simplest thing is to just use seasoning salt but it is harder not to over salt it. Either wisk the flour and seasonings or put lid on bowl and shake together. Put the seasoned flour on another plate, you don't have to put it all on there at once, I always make a little more seasoned flour than I think I need just in case, and if there is extra I use it later so I just put it on the plate as needed for each peice. Now take a steak and place it in the plain flour, coat on both sides, then dip it in the egg/milk mixture making sure to get the whole thing in there, take it out of the egg and let the excess drip off then coat well it in the seasond flour. Place in skillet and cook for 3 or four minutes a side, put as many as will fit in the skillet, have a plate with some paper towels on it to soak up the oil ready to place the finished ones on. For gravy i just get a packadge of gravy mix from the store, I use pioneer peppered cream gravy and it doesn't get any easier than that.

Funny, my husband nags me when I haven't made this in a while. It's a bit extensive, but well worth it....This serves 6 but you can cut everything in half.

1/2 cup veggie oil

6 (4 oz. each) cube steaks

salt & pepper

1 1/2 cup flour

3/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

3/4 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. dried thyme

1 tsp. poultry seasoning

1 tbsp. dried onion

4 eggs, beaten

1 1/2 cups milk, may need more

Heat a skillet over med-high heat. Add oil. Pound out cube steaks to 1/4-1/2 inch thick. Salt & pepper both sides. Mix the flour, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, paprika, thyme, poultry seasoning & dried onions in a shallow dish. Beat the eggs in another dish. Dredge the steaks in the flour, then the eggs, then again in the flour. Place steaks in oil. Cook until golden brown, about 4-6 mins. each side. Place on oven safe dish covered in paper towels & place into warm oven.

Pour off all but 2 Tbsp. oil & lower heat. Add 3 Tbsp. flour mixture & whisk to create a paste. Cook 1 min. gradually add the milk whisking constantly. Let cook until thickened, about 10 mins. Pour gravy over steaks. I serve this with mashed potatoes, corn and rolls.

I put some flour in a gallon ziploc bag add seasoning if u like. set aside. Combine 2 cups of milk and an egg in a bowl. dip cube steak in egg mixture let excess mixture drip off add to flour mixture seal the bag and shake, shake of excess flour then dip in milk mixture again and the flour again. I fry mine in 1/2 inch of cooking oil in a good size frying pan. Its not hard to do at all and really yummy!!!

I usually buy packets of country gravy to go over it. jimmy Dean has a good country gravy mix!

Take the chicken breast. pound flat. dip in liquid mixture and than flour mixture and fry it. I use country style gravy used for sausage.

The liqiud could be milk and eggs. The flour mixture has a bit of yellow cornmeal.

Use the coating you use to fry chicken or use a shakenbake style just make sure you flatten the chicken breast. White gravy is used. That can also be bought in a package from your local food market.

I am sure there are other ways to make these.
