Anyone have any lunch box ideas for an eight year old who doesn't eat fruit, veggies, or lunch meats?

I am so glad I am not hte only mamma with a very picky kid. My 9yr son is the same way. I send him with Spagetti O's, mac and cheese, pizza lunchable, hot dogs, corn dogs (when on sale for $.89) The new lunch containers they have (I buy mine fromm Walmart) ate great. While I am cooking the spagetti O's or whatever I heat up some water in the microwave and put it in the container and with lid on for 5min to preheat it. Once that is done I dump out the water and put his food in it. It keeps it warm all day long.
Hope this helps
Good Luck...

If the school is not peanut free then I suggest a peanut butter sandwich for protein. If they are a peanut free school then try a different type of nut butter. If they like smoothies then put different fruits and veggies into it. Blend it up the night before and freeze it in a drink container. Take it out right before school. It should be drinkable by the time lunch comes. The frozen smoothie can act like a ice pack so you don't have to put as many in.

Try the book "Deceptively Delicious"!! It has a bunch of recipes for any time of the day that you can throw fruit and veggie purees into, so they get the nutrients but don't notice that it's a food they wouldn't normally prefer. Some of the recipes are REALLY good - and there are mini pizzas, pancakes, you name it - if your toddler likes it, there's a puree fortified version :)
