Hello,
My daughter (almost 1 year old) is allergic to cow milk so we have to cut out all dairy products in her meals. At the moment we are also not allowed to give her soy based things as there is a high risk of cross allergic reaction.
At the moment I do a lot of sauces on a tomato base and sometimes I use rice milk (but this is not creamy at all).
Can anyone help me out with some recipes without dairy products in it, or any tips of how to make nice sauces without sour cream, etc?
I'm grateful for any tips or recipes.
Thanks.

Corn Starch will turn any broth into a nice sauce. Or try usng flour as an alternate thickner or even pureed potato will thicken. If you are the cooking type I would do a homemade chicken soup. When it's all done, I would take a portion of the broth out and thicken it (think the consistency of a potpie). I would serve that over noodles or rice, whatever she likes.

Most of her eating (at 14mts) is pretty straightforward standard. Chicken, beef, fish, hotdogs. Veggies are off/on but pureed seem best.

One thing I do is to make tiny meatballs out of beef, turkey or chicken. Bake them for 15-20 min at 350. Quick/easy fingerfoods that freeze great. And if you make different sauces you can top them with that for variety.
