My son is almost 4 and I would love to expand my cooking to inlcude other foods he has never tried, but I am not the most creative and don't have much time to research, so I am hoping I get some good allergy free (free of cow milk and eggs) recipes. He can drink soy milk, rice milk and oputside of the milk and eggs, there appear to be no other allergens. Thank you!

I cook food mainly free from all of the Top 8 food allergens. So if your just avoiding eggs and dairy - a cinch. Try this -

Buckwheat Pikelets

(You could maybe replace some of the buckwheat flour with regular flour)

Ingredients:

1 cup Buckwheat flour

2 ½ tspn Baking powder

2 Tblspns Sugar

¾ cup Rice milk

1 tspn Vinegar

1 Tblspn Nuttelex (dairy free margarine)

½ tspn Vanilla

Pinch Salt

Method

1.Sift together, salt and baking powder. Add sugar, stir until combined.

2. Melt Nuttelex. Add rice milk and stir. Add to the flour mixture.

3. Combine vinegar and vanilla. Add to flour mix and stir until combined and smooth.

4. Heat frypan over medium heat. Melt extra Nuttelex.

5. Add spoonfuls of batter. Cook until bubbles appear on top. Turn over until brown on the other side.

6. Serve with jam or honey

If you want to make pancakes add a little more rice milk.

Hi,

I have 4 children 2 of which are 2yr old twins. One recipe I think might work for you that they just love is shepards Pie.

Ingredients....

Potatoes atleast 4 jumbo/large or 7 to 8 small really depends on the size ... You just need to make a enough to cover a cake dish.

1 1/2 pound of ground beef or ground turkey

1 bag of frozen mixed vegis you can substitute with just corn if thats all they will eat..

1 bag of shredded cheddar cheese you can use a mix blend aswell soy ,cheese is optional...

Boil the potatoes and instead of using milk to mash them with you can use olive oil or chicken broth .. I prefer chicken broth... This eleminates the milk problem and ofcrouse you add salt to taste.

Cook the ground meat with any basic seasoning maybe mrs. dash or something you normally flavor your ground meat with to taste. Cook well but dont over cook.

Cook the vegis either on the stove or if you like a microwave up to you but don't over cook.

Now you take a large cake dish o the bottom you spread out the ground meat, then on top of the meat you put the vegis and the you spread the mashed potatoes over the vegis and meat and on top of the mashed you finish it with the cheddar cheese. Place in the oven on 300 and leave until all the cheese is melted for about 15 to 20 min just make sure not to burn the top make sure to place in the middle rack of the oven.

Thats it... its tasty and kids love it. Egg and Cow milk free...

Quoting Adriane:

One eay one that I love to make for my kids is regular macaroni and cheese. Boil the macaroni, add cheese as usually but use soymilk instead. the same for boxed mac & cheese, use soymilk and magarine instead of butter, it works.....

Be careful with Mac and cheese as the cheese powder has skim milk powder added.  depending on the degree of sensitivity.  My daughter and I both react to Mac and cheese unless I make it from scratch with our own ingredients.
