This is how I make my meatloaf.
2lb hamburger
1 large onion
1 container of chopped mushrooms
some basil
some italian seasoning
garlic
pepper
about 3 eggs
bread crums
I don't really measure anything. I just throw some in there. I cook it at about 350 degrees for about 1hr - 1hr1/2 or until cooked all the way through.
I make some mushroom gravey and mashed potatoes to go with it.

This is the easiest meatloaf ever! It's on the Weight Watchers menu too! Mix one pound ground beef with one package Stove Top stuffing mix with seasonings and one cup water. Make one large meatloaf, or place into greased muffin tins for individual meatloafs! It's great!!!

Meatloaf is not QUICK but it is easy. Prep time, 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 350. Crush up half a roll of Saltine Crackers. I put the crackers in a Gallon size ziplock bag, & with the bag still open I roll a can of canned veggies over the crackers until finely crushed. Set aside. Mix 1 egg, 1/3 c. Milk, 1/2 packet "Meatloaf" seasoning mix, 1/3 tsp. Lawry's, 1/3 tsp. Garlic Salt, 1/3 tsp. Mrs Dash (Table Blend) 1/2 c. diced onion & 1/3 c. Ketchup together in large bowl. Add ground beef (about 1 1/2 lbs) to mixture. (This is the secret ingredient...lol... Wash hands thoroughly then dig in & mix it all up real good... Now gradually add to meat mixture about 1 c. of the finely crushed crackers. Put meat mixture into loaf pan but don't pack it tightly. (This will make it dry) Bake at 350 for 1 hour... Let stand 5 minutes before serving... ENJOY!!! I hope U -n- yer family like it

Hi Rebecca, I live in NZ and I can help this recipe I make for my family of 5 and even the pets will eat it, 500g mince, 500g sausage meat, quarter cup breadcrumbs, an egg a maggi cook in the pot sachet - any of them taste nice, mix it together and throw in the oven for 30 minutes on 200degrees C you can if you want add diced onions or cheese or anything, everyone who I have given this recipe to loves it, you can also turn this recipe into sausage rolls or rissoles aswell - very versatile, Pak n Save quite often has the mince and sausage meat in a pack.

Rebecca... you have a lot of great choices below, but i was wanting to help you out too... All I do is get about a pound of hamburger meat (i try to use ground turkey cause there is less grease but totally up to your taste!) throw in about a cup of breadcrumbs, one egg... BUT to make it even tastier... Hunts has a small 8oz can of italian seasoning tomato sauce... put one can in there and mix it all together! Once in your meatloaf pan, then add a litte more of the sauce to the top of the loaf. Pop in the over on about 375 and cook for about an hour... if you have a meat thermometer (sp) then that helps out a lot. My hubby and I have salad, green beans and garlic bread with it... kind of a twist to spaghetti!! Hope you enjoy it!!!

This is a family fav. and makes great sandwiches the next day!!
3 pounds lean ground beef
1 cup crushed buttery round crackers
1-1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 (1 ounce) packages dry onion soup mix (just the onions not the seasoning )
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup steak sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Stir the ground beef, crushed crackers, Cheddar cheese, and onion soup mix in a large bowl until well combined. Whisk the eggs, ketchup, and steak sauce in a separate bowl until smooth. Mix the eggs into the meat until evenly combined, if the mixture seems too dry, add a little water. Press into a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven until the meatloaf reaches 160 degrees F (71 degrees C) and is no longer pink in the center, 45 to 60 minutes.

All the standard meatloaf recipes are about the same........I usually add a can of vegetable soup (any kind you like) to my mixture also, makes it a little more moist and you get some vegetables too!

Do they sell stove top stuffing where you live?? Add that to the meat (hamburger) and your set. Cook till just about done, (about 1 hour) then add a mixture of ketchup, a little mustard and brown sugar. Mix seperately and pour over top.

I can't give you a recipe because I basically use anything in my fridge from pramasean cheese, ketchup, steak sauce, mustard, and so forth. But a trick to making meat loaf cook faster is instead of putting it in a loaf pan is use a cupcake pan. It takes about 20 minutes to cook and the kids love having their own loafs. Also another trick my grandmother taught me was always round off the top of your meat loaf so the sides are lower then the center. Then add a tablespoon or 2 of water around the edge. As it cooks the water will fall down the side causing the extra fat to not stick to the actual loaf when you remove it from the pan. Hope those help.

Well I'm not one to go by recipes.
Depending on how much your make this far, your will need:
1lb of fresh ground beef.
1 half bag of crackers
1 large onion
1 egg
In a large bowl add the fresh ground beef. Crumble the crackers in the bowl mixing both together good. Add diced onions & egg to the mix, until it is all mixed nicely together.
Lay the mixture out in the pan. Flatten in out so it is all even.
Topping:
2tbs of ketchup
2tbs of Mustard
1/2 tbs of lemon juice
1tbs of vinegar
Mix all nicely together then pour over the top of basic meatloaf.
You can mix it up by adding different peppers, or making different toppings such as BBQ.
