I love to use my slow cooker. With such a busy life it's really been a time savor.

However, I'm looking for some healthly recipes to cook for my family.

Most recipes seem to always be based on beef or chicken. Anyone have recipes using other types of meat? I welcome all recipes because I'm always on the look out for something unique. Thanks so much!!!!

Hi

I love my crock pot too. My son is two and he eats my chili as a dip. Brown and drain 1 1/2 pounds of ground turkey. Then in the pot goes 15oz. kidney beans, 1/4 cup of apple juice instead of white wine same amount, 6 oz. tomato paste, slow cooker chili mix, 1/4 cup of red peppers and same for green though I just buy a frozen already chopped bag, 2 stalks celery chopped, 1 big carrot or a handful of baby carrots chopped, also I do not used onion and the recipe calls for one onion chopped, 1/3 cup steak sauce (heize 57maybe), 2 14.5 oz. cans of diced tomatoes, 5 slices of chopped bacon, I like putting in a half of jar of paul newman's sweet onion sauce in, 1 tbsp fresh cilantro and same for parsley at the end...(1 tsp cumin and pinch red pepper flakes...too I have never used) That's it 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low ....hope you try it and enjoy! I never liked hot food and I make this now all the time. If you like it hot add something to make it your own. Can I have one of your house's favorites?
