I've made food for my friends' kids before (mine's way too young lol), but something even my friend's daughter (pickiest little thing I've ever seen) would eat was chicken and mushroom fettuccine alfredo. I got the recipe from a Crock Pot cookbook I picked up at Borders.

1 1⁄2 pounds chicken breast tenders (I use Tyson's grilled chicken tenders)

2 packages (8 ounces each) mushrooms (I like cremini or shiitake), cut into thirds

1⁄2 teaspoon salt (to go healthier, use sea salt)

1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper

1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder

2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, cut into chunks (let it soften at room temp)

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into pieces

1 1⁄2 cups grated Parmesan cheese, plus additional for garnish

1 1⁄2 cups whole milk

1 package (1 pound) fettuccini

Spray inside of your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray (try Pam canola oil). Arrange chicken in single layer in bottom of the slow cooker. Layer the mushrooms over the chicken, then add salt, black pepper and garlic powder

Stir together cream cheese, butter, Parmesan cheese and milk in a saucepan on medium until it's smooth and creamy. Pour it over the mushrooms when it's ready. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, or on high for 2 to 2 1⁄2 hours.

For the fussy, non-veggie-eaters, sneak in a bag of frozen cut broccoli florets, or peas. The alfredo sauce makes it near-undetectable to those picky taste buds.

Good luck ♥
