My husband said pirates eat fish since they r on the ocean all the time, so how about fish sticks, and other finger foods. How old are the boys @ the party going to be? That might make a difference might not.

I looked up what pirates used to eat back in the day and....it doesn't sound too good. but the names are cool ao I think if you made things and called it by those names, it would be cool.

here are some names:

Bumbo: drink made of rum, sugar, water and nutmeg

Sour Krout: cabbage boiled in sea water

Salted meat: pork and beef salted heavily

Hard Tack/ Sea Buisquits: Really hard bread

Pitate bone soup: Soup made with bones and thats it unless they were lucky and caught a bird. They would boil it whole.

Like I said, not tasty...but cool names.

It's not a recipe but, what I do is order a "Dollar Roll' sandwich tray from Reasor's deli & there is never any left. It makes things some much easier than trying to cook up alot of things to please everyone. Good Luck ;)

try fish tenders (fish sticks) and u can make a dip of mayo and ketsup
also for drinks you can have root beer if the kids like that ( gives them the effect of having a real pirate grrrrr..party with the beer and all :-)

u could do pig n-a-blankets.not sure how old the kids are but if they are old enough then you could do the chocolate candies that are covered in gold and put it in a lil something to use as the treasure.maybe sandwhich/finger foods

You could make Tyson bbq chicken wings and call them pirate legs. You could have breadsticks too and call them swords. Hope this helps or gives you more ideas!
