I just posted a new venison recipe that's great. Everyone I have served it to thought it was beef. Also if you'll soak your venison in milk overnight before you cook it, it will take out some of the gaminess... We eat venison several nights a week. I rarely use beef anymore simply because we have so much of it.

put a deer roast in the slow cooker, add some onions, seasoning, leftover coffee and water. Cook til it falls apart. Drain, shred and put hot and spicy barbque sauce in it and cook a while more. Serve on buns with fries or chips.
Second. put a stick of butter in a skillet, add some soy sauce, toss in thin stips of deer meat and cook til done. serve over rice or just eat like it is.
