I get SOO much milk with WIC, but even though I drink it every day, it goes bad before I can use it all!

I use it for cereal, as a beverage, in smoothies/shakes...and that's about it.

Is there any other ways you ladies can think of to use some up???

Make an Alfredo or Cheese sauce for dinner; make extra and freeze for another nights dinner.

Heat Butter and flour cook a bit to cook off any flour taste; add milk and cheese. For an Alfredo add Parmi, cream cheese and a little garlic. Your done for tonight and other nights all you have to do is add pasta

Yeah frozen milk is good, she's right it will stay good as long as it's frozen. Wow i wish i had that problem, I always run out of milk. lol. You could also see about selling it to a friend/family member in exchange for a little pocket money if you have alot left. Like ppl do with food stamps. :)

Pudding is great... it uses 2 cups of milk. If you are sick of just eating pudding.or..if you have kids, take the pudding and freeze it into popcicle holders and the kids love the creaminess of the pudding pops. Actually, I do too.

I have the same problem, I also make Tres Leche for desert
one box cake mix prepared (still in the pan)
one cup milk
one can evaporated milk
one can sweetened condensed milk
whipped cream
cool the cake poke holes in it with a fork mix together the milks and pour slowly over the cake Refrigerate over night then top with whipped cream
I serve strawberries with it but I have seen chocolate shavings, blue berries, and carmel used too.
We use it in cream soups from a can instead of water, when we make french toast to mix with the egg (it makes it creamier), we use it in mac n cheese, and casseroles. But I still have a lot I have just started get my milk as needed I end up loosing a gallon or so each month but there are months especially around the holidays when we use our entire allowance.

Homemade Creamy Custard Rice Pudding! Found the recipe on www.recipematcher.com. GREAT website when you have odds n' ends ingredients and don't know what to make...just put in the ingredients you have and it will give you recipes you can make with them along with a list of any other added ingredients you will need.

I wish it was like that at my house...We cant keep milk in the fridge. I would just buy more things that you can cook with it or bake.

I would watch with the milk though cause even meat has a lifespan in the freezer... I am sure milk does too...

Oh if you freeze the milk, it will be good as long as you have it frozen. Once you take it out, make sure to let it thaw completely (shake before use) and try to use it within 1 to 2 weeks, but you can just smell it to make sure t doesn't go bad. When you put the big gallons in the freezer, if you have to store the bottle on its side it might leak.

Try making a lot of baked goods, pudding, etc. Make chocolate chip cookies, and then you have another reason to pour yourself a glass for dunking. I have the same issue with wic and its even worse because I'm pregnant and my daughter gets it too, so thats double the milk. My fiance loves cereal so he usually gets rid of the milk often.

THANK YOU everyone!!! I love all of your ideas. I never thought to freeze it! About how long does it keep for in the freezer?

I am going to try the potato soup for my grandma, she had cancer in her throat that is in remission now, but chemo left her with very limited food options because she cant swallow, so she needs all the fatty, easy to swallow foods that she can get! She will love it, and so will I!

I LOVE the idea for tres leches, also! It's my nephew and boyfriends' favorites!

omg, i have the best recipe for cheese potato soup. so you peel and boil about ten potatoes. drain and mash. add two cups of cheddar cheese or so and pour in milk to make soup consistency. in a seperate frying pan you cook bacon and celery and onion. drain and chop the bacon and add it all in the soup. it is AMAZINGLY awesome. like soupy mashed potatoes but yummier. i use a really good roll to go with it. its super hearty and delicious. good luck.
