I would have to agree with a couple of the other posts: pototoes...any kind. This Thanksgiving I made a loaded baked potatoe casserole. I put the recipe on my blog. www.imnotsuperwoman.com

Hi Jessica ... mashed potatoes are my favorite also. I was given this recipe by a friend several years ago and I won't make them any other way now, and best yet they are great the next day made into potato pancakes!
For a 5# bag of potatoes (waxy best) boil potatoes as you normally would, drain ... add 1 stick of butter, beat in 1 (8oz) pkg of cream cheese, a good handful of sharp cheddar cheese, S&P, 1 tsp of McCormick's all purpose seasoning, 1 tsp of minced onion ... whip all together. These can be held over in a slow cooker on "warm" setting for two or more hours (frees up the stove) ... they can also be placed in a warm oven in a casserole dish and they fluff up! You don't need gravy with these tasty taters (but I can't resist the gravy too) ... hope you try these.

We stand in line like vultures for the CRISP skin while whomever is carving. This yr, we had 2 turkeys. I cooked one @ my house, so had the skin all to MYSELF! YUM!

up until last year, my favorite was definitely my aunt's stuffing. It's bomb!!! However, Last year I tried my MILs candied yams and had to make them this year. I made a not so home made version ut they came out just as good =]

I've never had pumpkin cheesecake but that sounds very good. My Mom's stuffing was the basic seasonings, bread, small amount of onion and turkey broth.

Stuffing yummy!!! But I'm in Canada we had our Thanksgiving last month.... My mom makes the best stuffing, very basic, just the bread seasonings & onions stuffed into the turkey, but I like hers over all others!!

My faves are homemade cranberry sauce & pumpkin cheesecake. A Friday morning, after Thanksgiving, tradition in my house is cranberry sauce muffins.

My favorite is the stuffing: my Dad was a professional chef so he always made his from scratch while using the giblets, liver, n heart. Now that he is no longer with us: my baby sister Janice has taken over his job and makes it almost as good as he did.. Yummy.. Another favorite is also to be had at all Holiday meals: Fruit Salad in Whipped Cream..
