• This recipe is an all-in-one mix for frosting and cake. I adapted the recipe for cupcakes and made the icing decorator icing. It is so easy and since it is all-in-one very quick also! The original recipe is by Domino Sugar.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz. - cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup - butter or margarine, softened (2 sticks)
  • 2 teaspoons - vanilla extract
  • 1 - (2 lb.) pkg. Domino® Confectioners Sugar
  • 2/3 cup - milk
  • 4 - large eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon - baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon - salt
  • 2/3 cup - water

Preparation

  1. Frosting
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla extract at medium speed until smooth.
  3. Add confectioners' sugar alternately with milk, beating 1-2 minutes or until blended. Remove 2 1/2 cups of frosting from bowl, placing into a plastic sealable bag, and set aside.
  4. Cake:
  5. With mixer at slow speed, add eggs to remaining frosting in mixing bowl. Beat until blended.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  7. Add flour mixture to frosting mixture alternately with water and continue beating 1-2 minutes or until well blended.
  8. Line your cupcake pan with liners and fill each one with 1/3 cup of mix
  9. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until they are slightly golden brown on top.
  10. **Note** This is my adaption to the recipe, you may have to work with it to get it the way you want it.
  11. Decorator Icing
  12. Place your reserved mixture into a medium sized bowl
  13. Add an extra 3 cups of powder sugar and 1/3 cup vegetable shortening.
  14. Mix until smooth and icing will stand at a peak.
