Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Cinnamon mixture:
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • Drizzle:
  • 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
  • milk

Preparation

  1. Cream butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla together until smooth. Add sour cream and milk; beat at low speed until smooth.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl and add to creamed mixture. Stir to mix. Batter will be quite thick. Spread half of batter into a well-buttered 9x9" baking pan. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes at random intervals in batter.
  3. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together. Pour half of mixture into the holes you just created. Spread last amount of batter on top as evenly as you can. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  4. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
  5. Combine confectioner's sugar and milk until you reach desired consistency. Drizzle over top of squares and enjoy!

I have to try this one, it has all the ingredients of a cinnamon roll, but minus the work!
