Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 large Sweet Onion (diced)
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper (diced)
  • 2 large Cloves of Garlic (minced)
  • 1 (4 oz) Can of Chopped Mild Green Chili Peppers
  • 2 (14.5 oz) Cans Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz) Can Tomato Sauce
  • 2 tsp Chili Powder*
  • 1/2 tsp Leaf Oregano
  • 1 (15 oz) Can Black Beans, rinsed & drained
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • Onion Powder (optional)
  • Garlic Powder (optional)

Preparation

  1. In a large skillet, brown the beef; add the onion, & bell pepper.
  2. Sautee until onion is tender.
  3. Mix beef, onion, and bell pepper with the remaining ingredients in crock pot.
  4. Cook on LOW for 4 - 6 hours.
