Ingredients

  • 6 eggs (separated)
  • 1 quart chilled milk (I use two percent)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 pint or approx 2 1/2 cups whipping cream (whipped)
  • Nutmeg to garnish

Preparation

  1. Whip egg whites until foamy
  2. Gradually add and beat in sugar
  3. Beat just until egg whites form soft, shiny peaks
  4. Beat egg yolks until thick
  5. Fold in egg whites, slowly stir in milk and vanilla
  6. Fold cream into egg and milk mixture
  7. Chill in fridge for 1 to 2 hours for best taste
  8. Sprinkle with nutmeg when serving
