Combine room temperature cream cheese and cottage cheese with packet of taco seasoning. Mix well. Spread a thin layer of the mixture onto a large serving platter or into a shallow pan. (I use a large disposable tin pan.)
Spread sour cream over the mixture.
Layer green onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and olives repeatedly.
Cover and refrigerate for several hours, or overnight if possible.
Serve with chips.
This dip is delicious, easy to make and great for parties. Choose your favorite toppings if you don’t like green onions, olives and tomatoes—these are just my favorites, but they seem to always be a hit!
