• A mouthwatering Layered Taco Dip recipe that you and your family can enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Two 8-ounce packages of cream cheese (room temperature)
  • One 16-ounce container of cottage cheese (room temperature)
  • One 16-ounce container of sour cream
  • One packet of taco seasoning (hot or mild, depending on your preference)
  • One bag of shredded lettuce
  • One bag of taco blend shredded cheese
  • One bunch of green onions, chopped
  • Two large tomatoes, diced
  • One small can of chopped black olives
  • Scoops (or your favorite corn/tortilla chips)

Preparation

  1. Combine room temperature cream cheese and cottage cheese with packet of taco seasoning. Mix well. Spread a thin layer of the mixture onto a large serving platter or into a shallow pan. (I use a large disposable tin pan.)
  2. Spread sour cream over the mixture.
  3. Layer green onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and olives repeatedly.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for several hours, or overnight if possible.
  5. Serve with chips.
  6. This dip is delicious, easy to make and great for parties. Choose your favorite toppings if you don’t like green onions, olives and tomatoes—these are just my favorites, but they seem to always be a hit!
