• This Louisiana Cornbread recipe makes for an easy treat that is both tasty and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 small block of Velvetta Cheese cut up small
  • 1 Can of whole kernel corn
  • 1 Can of Cream Corn
  • 1 Bell pepper chopped fine
  • 1 small onion or 1/2 medium onion
  • 1 tube of sausage
  • 2 Boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix

Preparation

  • Preheat oven 425. Brown sausage like hamburger meat. Mix Jiffy Cornbread as box state. Add onion, bell pepper, cream corn, (drain) 1 can of corn. After each ingredient mix well. After cooking sausage, drain and add to cornbread mix and mix well. Add cheese last and mix well in between add a little at a time. Put in silver grease pan. (I found that it doesn't cook well in black) let cook for about 15-20 mins. You can add jalepeno juice or use hot sausage. It is great with chill on top.
