Ingredients

  • 2 (8-oz.) cans crescent roll dough sheets
  • 1-lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 1 1/4 c. chunky salsa
  • 1 c. shredded cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (optional)
  • 1 T. cornmeal (optional)

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Spray cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Unroll both cans of dough on counter, press into two rectangles. Cut into a total of 8 smaller rectangles. Cook the ground beef through, then add the taco seasoning and salsa. Simmer 5 minutes. Divide the meat mixture evenly among the 8 rectangles, sprinkle with 2 T of cheese each. Fold rectangle over to make a triangle; press edges together with a fork. Place on cookie sheet. You can brush with egg and top with cornmeal if you wish. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until deep golden brown. You could make these smaller and have them as appetizers.
