Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 6 or 8 oz pkg. mushrooms (portabella or regular), chopped or sliced
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. shredded parmesean cheese

Preparation

  1. salt to taste
  2. pepper to taste
  3. Fresh parsley for garnish
  4. In a sauce pan, melt butter. Add garlic and mushrooms and cook over medium-high heat until done, about 5-10 minutes. Add cream and milk and bring to a boil, whisking constantly. Reduce heat and simmer, whisking constanly, for 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and whisk until it thickens. Allow to stand for about 5 minutes before serving.
  5. Serves 6-8.
