• Hi everyone! I am new here, and I thought I would share a super easy breakfast dish. I have a television spot I do on the local morning show twice a week, and I try to make easy recipes for busy moms. I hope y'all enjoy it!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bulk sage sausage (I use Jimmy Dean)
  • 2 1/2 cups biscuit baking mix
  • 8 oz. pepper-jack cheese, grated
  • 4 oz. cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup milk

Preparation

  1. Brown sausage in a medium size skillet and drain.
  2. Place drained sausage into a large bowl, let cool just enough so it doesn't melt the cheese when added.
  3. Add all other ingredients to the bowl, and stir until well blended.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased 13x9 pan.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees if your pan is metal. For a glass pan, lower the oven temperature to 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
  6. Batter can be mixed, placed in a pan, covered and chilled overnight, before baking, if desired.
