Skip's Onion Tart is a delicious comfort food that can be made for an appetizer, brunch, or lunch meal. It has been a mainstay for Football Sundays, Christmas morning, and even a lazy rainy day meal. Enjoy!!
1 Package of Pizza Dough
1 Container of Creme Fraiche
3-4 TBs Fresh Thyme
2 Large Vidalia Onions
1 Stick Salted Butter
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Slice onions and saute with butter in large pan. Cook onions until they are tender. Add salt and pepper.
Roll out pizza dough on greased baking sheet.
Cover dough with entire package of Creme Fraiche.
Spread onion/butter mixture on top of creme fraiche
Chop thyme and sprinkle over the tart (make sure to remove the little sticks--I made this mistake once, and was picking sticks out of my teeth for days)
Cook for 40 mins or until dough is browned.
