Boil a large sauce pan of water, until rapidly boiling. Add pasta and cook until al dente. Strain pasta in a colander and rinse with boiling water.
While pasta is cooking, put a small amount of olive oil in large frying pan. Heat and add onion and garlic. Cook until onion is tender. Add ground beef, cook until browned. Add mushrooms, grated carrot and zucchini. Stir well. Tomatoes can be added before or after mushrooms, etc.
When well mixed, add pasta sauce and Italian herbs for flavor.
