If you asked my little girl what her favorite food is, she would tell you, "Spaghetti!" She loves the taste and fun, long noodles while I love how easy it is to make. This sauce beats any jarred sauce, and is worth the few minutes of effort.
1 pound ground beef (or Gluten Free Italian Sausage)
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cans (14.5 oz each) petite diced tomatoes (sometimes I blend these up first since my little ones don't like chunks of veggies)
Cover with lid and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
Remove bay leaf before serving.
Serve over cooked gluten free pasta. (My new favorite gluten free pasta is Trader Joe's Corn Spaghetti noodles at just $1.39 per bag. It is not starchy like rice pasta and is the closest to regular wheat pasta in taste and texture.)
