I think you may have figured out by now that when it comes to desserts, I take the Easy Street. No-fuss for me is usually the way to go…of course decadent and portion controlled nibbles are a must. These “Valentine Oreo-Nutella Truffles” are no exception. 5-ingredients, bite-sized and just may be one of the most delicious things you ever eat. I’m not kidding around! The soft Oreo center with the crunchy chocolate shell is just heaven on a plate!!! And remember…a nibble never ever hurts!!!
1.) Using a food processor or magic bullet crush until they resemble a sand-like texture.
2.) Pour into a mixing ball and add in cream cheese and nutella spread.
3.) Mix with a hand blender until thoroughly combined.
4.) Chill bowl in refrigerator for at least 1/2 hour. The mixture MUST be cold before rolling into balls or it will get too mushy.
5.) Roll cookie-mixture with hands into golf sized balls.
6.) Place on a wax paper covered cookie sheet and put in refrigerator to really firm up before dipping begins.
7.) Place milk chocolate in a microwavable bowl for 2 1/2 minutes and melt until smooth stirring every 45 seconds. (If melted chocolate appears to thick add in 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil to thin it out.)
8.) Using two large spoons dip the cookie ball into the chocolate to completely coat and place each one onto wax paper. (Work fast so the balls stay cold and the melted chocolate stays silky sheen.)
9.) Sprinkle on sprinkles. Place in refrigerator for a couple of hours to firm up and serve.
