Preparation

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook onion in oil for 10 minutes or until tender.
  2. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer.
  3. Add the chicken, chicken broth, green chilies, cumin, oregano and cayenne pepper; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low.
  5. Add beans to saucepan. Simmer for 20-30 minutes or until heated throughly.
  6. Top each serving with cheese and jalapeno pepper if desired.
