Yes, Gianina, they may have already burnt your old history book. I would love to find an old American History college text if at all possible - seriously!

As a filipina, I learned the American history at the International school. Let me tell you that I fell in love with the American history. I received an A+ in that class, and an A++ for loving what America stands for. I am a proud USA citizen and it saddens me how they are changing HISTORY. Wish I kept my History book.

My grandfather served in WWII also and he and I have had some pretty interesting conversations. He would be in agreement with your grandfathers I think. He is worried for us 'youngins" and wishes he would be around longer to maybe try and change some things.

Thanks Brenda.

I had two grandfathers that served during WWII and I think they'd be appalled if they lived long enough to see what state this country was in today. They believed in God, country, and duty but never believed that govt should overrule the people.

That was awesome. It was funny to watch Joy Behar get put in her place and you know she did b/c she had her hand on her hip. She's ticked when she does that!

Here's my quote for the day:

Politics isn't hard, it's the dang politicians that make it difficult.

My grandfather, a WWII veteran said this before he died.

I'm a fan on Michelle Malkin's page and this was posted. I thought I'd share it here b/c it's the truth.

"Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than live as slaves." Winston Churchill

than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not

"The peaceable part of mankind will be continually overrun by the vile and
abandoned while they neglect the means of self-defense. The supposed quietude
of a good man allures the ruffian; while on the other hand, arms like laws
discourage and keep the invader and the plunderer in awe, and preserve order
in the world, as well as property.

The balance of power is the scale of peace. The same balance would be
preserved were all the world destitute of arms, for all would be alike; but
since some will not, others dare not lay them aside... Horrid mischief would
ensue were one half the world deprived of the use of them;... the weak will
become a prey to the strong."

Liberals think we're just paranoid, but the truth is, kids are innocent. They believe almost everything they hear, and if they show this in schools and discuss it. It's brainwashing. That's why I'm so glad my kids aren't old enough to be in school yet. I'm lucky enough to be living in a very conservative community, but I'm still debating on homeschooling my children when they get to that age.
