So recently Glenn Beck accused the president of being a racist. And apparently, Proctor & Gamble, lawyers.com and Progressive Insurance are requiring that their ads not run during his show. http://mediamatters.org/blog/20090806001...

I am proposing a boycott of these companies.

ok, I've been out of town for a while. Please post the link to the video of Glenn please Traci. Glenn will be ok. He has a large following. Obamamaniac needs to be stopped though...ASAP aka YESTERDAY!

Allright, I contacted those companies and let 'em have it. Glenn's my fav, he said nothing wrong. Media Matters totally took it out of context, like always...

I did my part in letting them know what they did was wrong and I told them I will cease using their products from now on.

ok. just watched it-in context, not that trash that media matters put out.

I totally agree with Glenn. Good for him. Maybe I'll write to those companies and express my disappointment.

It is so sad the racist issue always seems to rear its ugly head. Wonder how many years it will take ? Wondering about the comments about Pepsi though ? Why is this company being labelled as being pro - Gay ? I don't think I've ever seen anything that would be pro or anti ? Please enlighten.

Michelle, I completely agree. There is a huge list of companies that support gays, and my husband and I have said exactly what you have. http://tinyurl.com/pfy9nk

But I have started writing the companies above to voice my feelings. And I've added Sargento Cheese, Men's Warehouse and GEICO. I guess they have also pulled their ads from his show.

It just makes me mad that companies have to get involved in anything other than making their products, especially anything divisive and/or political. Don't they realize that no matter what they choose, they are alienating someone?

Eeek...we just switched our car insurance to Progressive....and we've stopped using pepsi products because they support Gays and Lesbians. But Coke doesn't have just plain decaffenated Coke. What I'm trying to say is that it's so hard, first off, to keep track of who is for who and who is supporting certain causes, I need a list. Trust me, if I could take out all the bad companies products out of my house, I would, but I might go hungry. I think we need to figure out what is really important, and to me, not supporting gay rights is one of them, and stick with a few that really light our fire.
