Pamela, no offense but my head is spinning. Hank (as we call him here in the South) is COMPARING Obama to Hitler in this video, not calling him Hitler as the liberal media has said over and over again. Seems we may be splitting hairs here. 90% of the media is liberal, sad but true. Twists on words, info left out conveniently, etc. Go do some research on the topic. Not to "bow out" conveniently, I am just mentally tired. So no I am not going to help you understand, something you have to do on your own.

I cannot speak for HWJ so I cannot tell you what he is thinking. However I base my response on what was SAID in the video and in print, verbatim.

What are your thoughts on TORT reform?

For some reason, I thought I was in a group for Republican/Conservative moms. I dunno. But hey, I like to argue!

Ridiculous is all I can say. Since when has our country gotten so darned sensitive. He was making an ANALOGY, here I will help out here.... the definition of analogy- 1.
a similarity between like features of two things, on which a comparison may be based: the analogy between the heart and a pump.
2.
similarity or comparability: I see no analogy between your problem and mine.

When GWB was in office, people made analogies all the time, and it wasn't front page news.

It's not "to each his own." You're not answering my question. If my understanding is incorrect - as you are stating - then please explain to me what Mr. Williams was saying. Again, that's all. I'm not asking about the liberal media, I don't care about the liberal media. I'm asking, what did Hank Williams Jr. mean? What was his point? Can you help me understand?

To each his own. However the spin the liberal media has placed on this interview is unreal to me. Really? You even said it, Pamela, that Hank called Obama Hitler. Really? So comparing the 2 in this video/article means that Hank called Obama Hitler? NOPE.

I'm merely asking a question; who, in Mr. Williams analogy, is Hitler? Who is Netanyahu? You made the point that Williams did not explicitly call Obama "Hitler." All right then. Please then explain what his point actually was. That's all.

So in Mr. Williams analogy, who is Hitler? Who is Netanyahu? What do you think his overall point was?

Read the article, watch the video, he never called Obama Hitler. Here's one part quoted:

"The country singer criticized the president’s recent 'golf summit' with Republican House Speaker John Boehner. The singer told Fox & Friends that the meeting 'would be like Hitler playing golf with [Israeli leader] Benjamin Netanyahu.' "

I think it had something to do with his calling Obama "Hitler" on national television. While the Bush administration was frequently compared to Hitler's regime, I don't remember it being done on national television. Williams explained during the Fox News telecast that he made the comparison because the president was “the enemy.” Except Obama isn't the enemy. And honestly, neither was GW Bush. And let's be fair, conservative celebrities (think guys like Jon Voight), conservative politicians and pundits say noxious stuff about the Democratic party all the time (I get stuff in my email from my dad all the time that is extremely negative about Obama - and consistently it is false and usually I can prove it). I mean, have you listened to Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh lately?

Perhaps what this shows is that we need to cease the back and forth nastiness. Our politicians won't do it but maybe we can refuse that kind of poisonous talk and just listen to one another instead of calling each other names.
