Children should learn about all Presidents... Just because a particular administration doesn't align with your beliefs doesn't mean the only thing your child should learn about them are insults. How ignorant and short-sighted.

Sounds like it is time to turn off the TV and begin reading to our children. There are a growing number of great conservative authors, educators, and companies emerging. My son loves "Founders Fables" by Kinderfable Press and "Declan Grows Up: It's Just Not Fair" by the American Values Publishing Company.

"Founders Fables" is about our founding fathers and "Declan Grows Up: It's Just Not Fair" is about finding and growing your God-given skills and talents.

You all are unbelievable!!!! I came across this site just doing a search for commercials played on Nick Jr. I am appalled to hear grown people express themselves like this but I guess it's a free world. Bush? Seriously? Is Obama really that bad? I just hate the kids are involved. I read the comment from the parent that said Obama likes to smoke and now thier kid is singing it. WOW! I wouldn't have believed this forum if someone would have told me about it. I would have had to witness this on my own. I will pray for you all and most of all, your kids. The world is truely coming to and end and there is nothing the new generation is going to be able to do about it as long as we have the old generation still alive ruining and poising thier minds. I can't wait to see what the next president does for the country. I am sure whoever it is will be a " KING" to you all as long as they are not " BLACK". Prejudice still lives in our country and it's not going anywhere!! Let's just all embrace this fact and stop fronting.

I am not for Obama but regardless of my views politically they should not be putting our children into it. I think its great for a child to learn about basic politics, but at school and home, no tv ads to get them to go one side or the other. I am soooo glad I dont have cable. At least I know the dvd seaons and movies dont have that stuff on them

My daughter came out last night and told me Obama was on Nickelodeon..so I was curious and went to watch. That program made me sick!! If anyone hasn't seen it you should watch it. They're pushing Obama on these innocent minds!! I'm boycotting Nickelodeon. My daughter will just have to find something else to watch...

We have actually started not only banning certain channels in our homes, but I have also taken to (silly maybe) writing extremely research filled letters to these stations advising them of their "indoctrination" and how inappropriate it is to a childrens station. I have a friend/coworker actually who has gone further and has now banned any books, music, etc from her house completely if they were done by someone who is a supporter of Obama

We have taught our children that most of what they see on TV is fiction.

We haven't seen any of that crap on Boomerang.  Just Tom and Jerry, the Flintstones, Jetsons, you know, real cartoons.

since February is over there should be less of those commercials but if they are still showing them at the same rate then it's easy to say it was never about "black history month" and just a way to brain wash our children. I know they showed several other black americans on little commercials so hopefully now that February is over so will the commercials.

I think anything Political should not be on childrens channels. They are much to young and Vunerable to have that pushed on them.

My little ones do not like Obama , they call him a bad man. I try to tell them Obama is not a bad man he is just to Liberal, not that they understand what liberals are. LOL

It's been my "privilege" to witness the decided liberal themes of Nick & nick, Jr since my first GRANDson was born...he's 12! We have always been incredulous of the stuff they cram down the throats of the most innocent Americans, so we have been wary of content all along. Even the website is Green and left handed. Be diligent, very open with your kids, correct a wrong presentation with something postively Right -sided, and if you can't stand it...turn it off.

My children love Noggin and I have to stomach that commercial for Obama several times a day. I think I will send them an email to let them know I don't appreciate the commercial. I just tell my kids that we don't believe in what he stands for and when that commercial comes on I tell them that I don't like that cartoon. (They're 3 and 5 so I try to keep it simple.) I'm glad that I'm not the only one that notices how under appreciated Pres. Bush was because he certainly wasn't drooled over like Obama is.

I saw that as well! My almost 4 year old saw it asked some questions about it. We had already explained the historical significance of him being the first black president so she got that part of it. I later asked my husband if we had ever seen a piece like that about Bush and then both laughed knowing it would NEVER happen! Long story short, I am not boycotting but definitely making sure I am counteracting and propaganda that might be occurring on Jenna's shows/networks. My daughter was also 1 of two children in her Catholic Preschool class in downtown Chicago (most liberal place on the planet!) who "voted" for McCain in her class's mock election so I guess our message it getting through after all!

It's called Indoctrination & they're going full force (not just Nick Jr, but children's books, magazines, schools, most advertising, news, etc.). It's disturbing how he's is being portrayed as a hero when, sadly, a wake-up call is just on the horizon. They're indoctrinating children at younger & younger ages to get them on the hook...the earlier in life they're taught what to believe the more likely they'll be a lifelong follower. Very scary & unsettling.

I hadn't noticed the commercials until my mom called me and told me about them. It's disgusting what they are doing. I think that it won't matter for our kids as much because kids follow their parents examples. If you're teaching them what's right and what's wrong they will be able to see through what the TV is trying to teach as being correct. What's sad is there are kids who don't have parent's teaching them what's right and these TV stations will get them.

Here ABC family took over Fox family about 5 years ago. We still have PAX. Not  thats it's important. They're all liberal and get on my nerves. We watch dvd's here. NO OBAMA commercials on those.

Didn't ABC Family used to be Pax? When they first took over I thought the programming was ok, but they have gradually changed the show schedule until it is virtually unrecognizable as anything remotely family-oriented. I think it's appalling that they still maintain that VERY misleading name. The only thing I see on there now that I might let my kids watch is the 700 Club, and from what I read they were obligated under the agreement that they had with PAX when they took over to continue showing it. It's now totally out of phase with everything else on that channel.

Yes!! It is absolutely maddening! I especially hated it during the primaries, when they had this really slick little music video for Obama and NOTHING for McCain. Then after the election they had Obama's statement, which sounded intelligent and well thought out (probably read from a teleprompter, given what we know) and McCain's was edited all to hell and made him sound like a doddering old fool. It's disgusting! And normally i think the programming on Nick is clever and I even think some of the shows are entertaining.

I saw that too and was disgusted.  They had a little thing on him after he won and i got over that but it's now March and to still be showing it is kind of unneeded.  I don't remember President Bush having his own cartoon introducing him.  I emailed them after i saw it for a second time.

I had trouble with the nick jr and it's older partner nickelodien's programming for a while now. They tout themselves as being a kid channel but I have seen quite a few things I'm not comfortable with. Also, if you have older children watch out for the so called abc family channel. Pro Obama, pro social programs, pro gay lifestyle. I am no rabid anti gay but I do not appreciate that the trend is to push how "In" being gay is on so many of these channels. It is really dificult to offer choices in programing that lend themselves to a conservative lifestyle. When my son was younger, he's 14 now, we watched a lot of PBS. Even though they are a bastion of liberal think tank a lot of their programming was pretty benign. The Saturday night British comedys, the programming they bought rather than made. It is a tough world to be a republican in right now, I can barely turn on the news, thank god for Fox, and I can only read parts of my news paper because anything else gets my blood pressure too high! This is the first time in my life (i'm 46) that I have been truley scared for our country and I have a hard time comming up with answers for my son. Keep the faith gang, I'm glad to know you are out here!

That stupid commercial, I hate it!  We don't have Nick Jr, but we have Noggin and a commercial exactly like you described comes on at least three times an hour.  One day when it came on and they were rattling off that list of "what Obama likes to do" I muttered "Obama likes to smoke!"  Well guess who picked that up and has repeated it every day since?  My two year old!  HAHA!  He will pick up his toy guitar, dance around the room and sing "Barack Obama SMOOOOOOOOKES!"

I'm not down with teaching my kids to regurgitate political talking points but hey, can the left really dispute that claim?  LOL!

It isn't just nick jr. Before the election they had it all over the teen nick too. They hardly ever said anything  about McCain. They always had something to say about Obama, positive of course. Disney channel is the same way. They aren't as bad as nickelodeon since the election is over, but it's still there. And we wonder why all the youngsters were Obama fans!

I saw it for the first time monday night, I was babysetting my three year old Grandson. I couldn't believe it either.... This country has gone crazy... When I saw it, my first thought was Hitler.. Our children will be hailing Obama soon. Have you ever saw so much of a president as we do of this one. We can't even watch nickolodian with out having to look at Obama, " ENOUGH ALREADY"
