Absolutly!!!! The media wants to hush "us" conservatives. They want people to think we are not out there, and I truly think this is the devil at work in this country. We need to stick together and let the media and the rest of country know that we are out there and we will be heard, even if it means we have to scream it....lol!!!

I said something similar to this to one of my like-minded friends just yesterday. I've enjoyed hooking up with old friends and extended family, but I'm finding that too many of them are Democrats. Like you, I just don't feel like I have much to talk to them about. I'm disgusted by all of this Obama-mania. I was feeling really lonely, too. What a breathe of fresh air to find this group!

I am having hope with this community, but it is still so frustrating not feeling like I am doing anything but I guess just like your vote does count, so does your comments to your representatives.  Hopefully, we are not the only ones across this country letting our representatives know and overwhelming... Actually I pretty sure that is the case will the republicans and 11 democrats saying no to the PORK stimulus bill.  Oh, by the way shouldn't everything have been solved by now because he was going to be our Savior?  That was my impression.

Hi there! Like the rest of you I have felt like the Lone Ranger among my friends. Most of them are liberals. I am a teacher and it is a notoriously liberal profession. I am proud to say that 80% of my site is Republican. We have been studying politics all year and focused a lot on the election. We recently watched the inauguration and one of my students said, "How does Obama think he's going to get everything he's promising done?"That question really struck me as astute. I didn't quite know what to say without getting myself in a heap of trouble. (My students have no idea what my political views are.) After this election I felt that the Republican party was a dying breed...after talking with my student I thought maybe it's not! Maybe there is hope for us yet.

Hey everyone, one way to be able to speak to others is to be correctly informed. We can watch FOX News channel and encourage others to watch for correct, balanced information. I currently live in the country of Mexico and would be totally out of touch without Fox News. Let us not give up praying for the USA. God is still on the throne!

BOY, I hear ya... why is it such a dirty word to be conservative these days??? Things are a changing. I put a link to the Obama abortion bill and a few of my old friends wrote some choice things on there. I did not even really say much, but I did say I was not in favor of it. Is Obama a God to some ppl or what??? He seems to have celebrity like status and that scares me. I will stand behind him and pray for him, but he had better get it together. Isn't that amazing how closed-minded the Obama supporters can be? I am not suprised your friend would stop communicating with you because you're a Rush fan. It happens to me all the time. It's interesting though because your pro-Obama friend most likely doesn't know a lot about him or his policies and more than likely does agree with you on many things they just are brainwashed into believing they know more than us ludite Conservatives. (Buyer defines the value) and they were doing it with 100% loans or interest only loans.  It was a nice mix of greed and ignorance.

Hi Nancy...I can totally relate.  Nearly all my friends are liberals, even my own family!   I think the fact that Obama's part black overshadowed his really radical policies and viewpoints and that's very dangerous.   He's very charming and it's easy to win over people when you have a silver tongue.  I wouldn't know...I have a hard time expressing my ideas but I CAN tell right from wrong.

I have a friend who constant posts things derogatory towards Former President Bush and pro Obama. I figure it is her page she can post what she wants. And I am always willing to listen to what she has to say. I drew the line when a friend of hers I did not know insulted anyone who would not vote for Obama. I called her on it and she apologized.

I think there are a lot more conservatives out there than you think, they just try not to fight about everything.

I admire all of you who have to live in areas that you are alone...You are the ones who will have to keep fighting for the truth.  I am lucky to live in a mostly conservative area but was greatly frustrated with the media and lack of thought process of those who were smitten by "The One".  One more thought  "arrogance will be the downfall of those who think they are so powerful in putting forth their agendas"  Just hope it is sooner than later to spare us from total misery.

   Believe it or not a friend of mine who lives in Chicago, a Jewish guy, who usually votes democrat, voted for John McCain.  He did a little investigating, and I sort of nudged him to look at what I found, he realized what a corrupt thug Obama was and voted for McCain.  One thing he couldn't believe what the born alive act that Obama voted in favor of, he just couldn't shake that one.

 There are a few other conservatives in your part of the woods, I guess you have to weed them out.

I lived in VT as a child, so that was not my choice. For some reason I remembered the town I was living in (Brattleboro, now famous for its incients of naked people running around because the state has no nudity ordinance) being more conservative when I was growing up -- a music teacher at my elementary school was "let go" (I don't know if he resigned or if he was officially fired) because some kids said they spotted him coming out of a location known for being a gay bar in town, and we had a porno shop run out of downtown because of complaints.

and write in the search box (and put your zip code in) conservitive group or republican you may find a group in your area that meets often and others to talk to about issues.  thats what my husband and i did, we live in WIsonsin.  Hope that helps glad to make friends!!

I guess what I am is just exausted. I'm so tired of all the hype and the whole "walking on water" that his flock thinks he can do. When do we start hearing about the healings he will do on people? When will he cure cancer and AIDS? It's so obvious that this whole administration is getting free passes left and right from the press. At least I could admit if I didn't agree once and awhile with George Bush. Libreals don't understand that. They will never admit to any wrong doings or admit any decision is wrong. Today at work I was able to put such a liberal in her place. During the election she complained  about Sarah Palin for her lack of foreign affairs experience. We went round and round about that. Today she said her daughter was nervous about Obama's lack of experience with the same issue. She then made an excuse that he has lots of people in his cabnet to help him with that. WHAT!!!  I'm sorry, but I just layed into her. After I ranted for a good 10 min she had nothing to say. She simply walked away. I don't get that! It's mind blowing if you really think about it. His Press Sec sounds like a total moron...Anyone else think so?
