When Obama appeared on Leno last night he was trying to joke about being a bad bowler and said "It's like the Special Olympics". What makes me so mad about this is if this were Bush, off with his head would have been all over the Elite Media and Obama Nation! And what is he doing on Leno anyway? Just trying to score some popularity points since his approval ratings are falling in the polls or what?

Oh my goodness, I totally know what you mean. That's exactly what I said. If it was George Bush or any other republican we'd never hear the end of it, they'd probably be asked to resign. It's such a joke what Obama can get away with, it makes my blood boil!!!!

I know a Con Man when I see one , and that's what Obama is.... A snake oil salesman and the media is buying it.

It amazes me how many people think Pres. Obama is all down-to-earth, good guy because of these types of appearances. He went to a ball game and sat next to a little kid. The pictures were all over facebook with captions of how cool the president was. I was just thinking, "What's he doing at a ball game when our country is going down the tubes?" I'm so sorry that people can't see him for who he really is: a thin-skinned, far-left liberal extremist who can dish it out but certainly can't take it!

Amen Lindsy,  At least you knew when Pres. Bush spoke to the American people he felt every thing we were feeling b/c he was in touch with America instead of having his head up some other countrys butt!!!

Quoting Gina:

Funny how he offends someone whenever he doesn't have a teleprompter to tell him what to say..... just a thought.

Haha that's true.  Everytime he doesn't have a speech written for him and right in front of him he messes up or says something really stupid.

President Bush may have not been the greatest speaker but when he was just talking to people he was great.  I would rather have a president that can talk from the heart than one that can read a speech he didn't even write

I absolutely agree that his comment shows what his heart feels.  That is the kind of talk that goes on and is permissible in his family/circle of friends.  That comment shows you his true, callous colors.  He used the Special Olympics as an analogy for his poor bowling performance - DISGUSTING!  What if it had been a stereotypical racial reference instead?  What if he'd said something like "I had a wreck today, it was like I was Asian or something!"  I wonder if that would have pinged the MSM's radar.  Probably not :(

That man.  Words cannot begin to describe how much I loathe him.

Being on Leno is just more proof that Obama is clueless and inexperienced. I wouldnt say he is running away from the problem. I dont think he realizes there is one!

What he's doing on Leno is being the snake oil sales man that he is.  He knows he can't pass half of these spending bills without the people of this country coming unglued and so he goes on all of these talk show trying to fill our butts with smoke so we are blinded to whats really happening..

If that was Bush they would have kept showing it a over and over again. They never once mentioned it on the news, I found out about it listening to 96.9 WTTK.

I have a Little niece who is D.S. I don't like that.

All I can say is that out of the mouth comes the overflow of the heart. I am sure special olympics are a big joke with him. As a parent of a special olympian the remark saddened me. All I have heard is how he did apologize to the head of special olympics. Wonder who told him to call? And what about apologizing to the rest of Americans he offened?

Not only does this man get away with murder, he is disrespecting the office he now holds.  No other current president would have  ever shown up on a show like that.  He also has more time to do things like 60minutes this weekend and another show later next week.  If any other president had done these things it would have been looked down on but as we all know...the man can do no wrong in the media's eyes

Our local news here in Detroit, just sort of glossed over it, and tried to avoid the whole special olympics part of the segment. What a joke!

I know I was outraged! All day I've been purposely checking the various news to see what's been said and on all channels it's been a 5 second peice with no editorial to go with it. I watched the view this morning and it didn't even get brought up. If this had been a Bush comment they'd be calling for his head, they are soo biased and we all know it. I wish they would just admit it, that's what makes it the worst is that they all try and say they are totally non-biased. Maybe they need a vocabulary lesson.

I saw this clip on the local evening news. I had no idea that he was on Leno. Does he think he's still campaigning? It's nice to know that  he's out goofing around isntead of working. Plus, the comment about the special olympics was totally inappropriate, but no one attacked him on that because the media is all so very biased. It's really upsetting to see such an idiot as the leader of our wonderful country.

If Bush would have made that comment then people would have been yelling impeachment. If Bush would have appeared on Leno then the "media" would have been saying that he didn't have time to do that.

Sick how this guy gets a write off on everything!

I couldn't believe that he got away with it like that!  It is truly sad that people are so easy to let things like that slide by, I agree with you, if it were Bush he would have been on the chopping block immediately.  At least I can say with a clean conscience that I didn't vote for him.  Most of my family is democratic and voted for him, it was a very tense, interesting time to the election back in the fall, my mom and I still aren't really talking.

You're right - if Bush had made that comment, it would have been front page news on every newspaper across the country, and the talking heads would be ripping him to shreds.  Only FOX News seems to be covering Obama's "joke" with disdain.  A perfect example of how he gets away with stuff like this unscathed:  my sister and her husband voted for Obama (and Gore before him, Clinton before that).  They are the parents of my four year old niece who was born with Down Syndrome.  My sister and her husband lead the local Special Olympics.  They belong to a group called "Please Don't Say Retarded."  They boycott films in which the word "retarded" is used derrogatorily.  My sister is taking classes to become an advocate for children with special needs.   When I asked her what she thought about Obama's comment on Leno, she said "Oh, he didn't mean anything by it."  The dude is Teflon.

What is he doing on Leno??  He is 'running away' from the problem for a while and 'campaigning' instead of governing.  Campaigning is the only thing this man seems to know how to do!  He is distancing himself from the 'mess' so he doesn't get 'dirty'.

And as far as his comment, yes, if it were Bush, he would have been crucified by the liberals/media (they are one in the same in my mind, with few exceptions).
