How sad is this. Ironic though how the same progressives and liberals who want to kill babies in the womb and talk about population control are so anti-abstinence. The evidence proves it works but of course we don't want our young girls to think they're better than this now do we. Sheesh!

Abortion and the Creation/Evolution debates are the biggest one's in our house. We tend to vigiorously agree, get's all the fight energy out:)
Many forget that Christians need to have this conversation with eachother more often. It may seem like preaching to the choir, but sometime the choir needs preaching to! So many liberal churches have absolutely nothing in common with Christianity. It's sad when you have to fight this fight on friendly front s too.

I just watched a good movie about this kind of subject, it's called Sarah's choice. It is a Christian movie, and the acting is a little cheesy. but I feel they addressed it pretty well. http://www.familychristian.com/shop/prod...
You're right though, it makes no sense to me how they are concerned about population control, but they are against teaching abstinence. It just seems to me they are for throwing personal responsibility out the window. I don't understand why they can't see that the choice is made when you decide to procreate, yet when you get pregnant they don't want to suffer the consequences.

(turn sarcasm on here) But of course you can't teach abstinence - kids will be kids, dontcha know? They are impulsive and we don't want to hurt their feelings by telling them 'no'. We will just offer them condoms and hope they use them in the heat of passion so they don't get pregnant or any of those yucky STDs. At least if they do get pregnant, we can just hurry and take care of that little 'problem' (especially since the government will pay for it). Hmm..maybe I should have had an abortion because then I wouldn't have to stress about this...I could be doing what I want to do.
Seriously, the abortion debate really tends to bring out the snarkiness in me, for obvious reasons. They claim us Conservatives/Republicans don't 'like' science, but science has PROVEN that life begins at conception. How is that for science?
