As long as thet don't do the essay portion or make the kids say how he inspires them i dont care if he wants to tell them to stay in school. I do find it odd however that liberals were crapping their pants when President Bush spoke to students and he didn't even have any brainwashing material for the teachers to give the students afterwards.

Quoting Teresa:
I didn't think there would be after the bad publicity, and even the teachers of most schools have decided to change the essay format from what can you do to help the president to what can you do to succeed in school. In the past there have been presidents that have spoken to students.
In 1988 President Reagan spoke to school students. The event was telecast in several classrooms throughout the country. Hear is an audio/video clip from c-span archives: http://www.c-spanarchives.org/library/in...
The main thing we all need to remember is that we as parents have more control over our childrens minds than thier teachers, their friends, even the current president of the United States. now more than ever parents need to be involved in their childrens lives, they need to talk about the hard issues, even when they are little, subjects can be broken down to thier level. I have a very good relationship with all of my children, because i have talked to them from the time they could understand my voice. now that they are almost grown, i am the first one they come to to disucss issues that they dont feel comfortable talking with anyone else about. When my eldest daughter was three, she asked me what sex was, after i had untied my tongue from around my stomach, i told her in a way that she could understand. i was honest with her, she knew i was honest with her, and my answer satisfied her. and we just built from there, the questions got harder, and i got braver.

if that is really what he says there is nothing wrong with it. honestly it is the first time any one with any celebrity about them have "your destiny is up to you" "your current circumstances do not have to define your future" I didnt vote for the man I believe he is a socialist, but to be fair, i c nothing wrong with his message to our youth.
