This is an e-mail that was sent to me by my mom:

This is chilling!

In 1952 President Truman established one day a year as a

"National Day of Prayer."

In 1988, President Reagan designated the first Thursday in May of each year as the National Day of Prayer.

In June 2007,

(then) Presidential candidate Barack Obama declared that the

USA was no longer a Christian nation.

This year President Obama, canceled the

21st annual National Day of Prayer ceremony at the White

House under the rouse of "not wanting to offend anyone"

On September 25, 2009 from 4 am until 7 pm, a National Day of Prayer for the Muslim religion was held on Capitol Hill,

beside the White House. There were over 50,000 Muslims that day in DC

I guess it doesn't matter if "Christians" are offended by this event - we obviously

don't count as "anyone" anymore.

The direction this country is headed should strike fear in the heart of every Christian.

Especially knowing that the Muslim religion believes that if Christians cannot be

converted they should be annihilated

This is not a rumor -

Go to the website

to confirm this info:

Pay particular attention to the very bottom of the page:

"OUR TIME HAS COME"

I hope that this information will stir your spirit.

The words of 2 Chronicles 7:14

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray,

and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven

and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

We must pray for our nation, our communities, our families, and especially our children.

They are the ones that are going to suffer the most if we don't PRAY!

May God have mercy...IN GOD WE TRUST.

Please pass this on, maybe someone, somehow can figure out a way to put America back on the map as it was when we were growing up, a safe place to live and by the Ten Commandments and Pledge of Allegiance, etc!

Yes, Lindsay, it is all true. I'm old and remember those days. Do you know why these people do this......they are afraid of us. The only way to put America back on the map is to get involved. I got involved at age 30 and I'm still at it. For everything the libs do we have to be that much more stronger. We have to be vigilant and not rest at all. If we rest, you can see what happened, prayer out of schools, abortion rampant for convenience, the Ten Commandments being taken off school walls and also walls of the government. They want no mention of a GOD. This country was founded upon Godly principles. Our laws are based upon the The Ten Commandments Did you know that the Constitution does not state "Freedom from Religion"? It states "Freedom OF Religion". There is no such thing as "The Wall of Separation and State". That is mentioned in the Russian Constitution. When you hear that, remember, it does not pertain to America. What the libs have done is take a statedment from a letter written to a group of, I believe deacons in a Baptist church and Jefferson did say,and this is not verbatim...that the state would not become a religion like in England. There would be a "wall" there to prevent the state from taking over a religion. It has been taken out of context for many years and lawyers and congress people know this. Anyway, that's the story on that. You might research it for yourself. It's always a good idea for one to see it for him/herself.

Linsay, like you I am shocked and saddened by this turn of events in our beloved country...But it starts at home. Our homes, we as mothers have to inculcate the importance of living our faith to our childrenand then the trickle down effect will commence. Putting God first, helps to prioritize everything in our lives. So I think we all should continually lift up our nation in prayers, lead by example and show faith in action. Speak out, participate, get involved, make a difference. I say this and know that as Moms we have so much on our plates ( I have 4 boys, 2 with ADHD and one with Autism) but for the sake of our children's future and the well being of our country we have to act. I do not fear muslim threats bcause I know my God is a mighty God and he has already conquered, but I sure make a point of sharing that fact ! :O)
All my best to you and I will definitely be praying on the National Day of Prayer and every day for the restored faith of our Nation and wisdom for our leaders (even though we may not like them :OP). GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
Carolyn

Am I the only one who sees "End Times" in all of this??? Jesus said the end would come. Read Revelation 3: 14-21 regarding the church in the end times. "I know thy works, that thou are neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth."
The church has fallen down on their obligations. Americans are so rich, compared to the rest of the world, we have forgotten about God. Most Americans used to go to church on Sunday, pray with their family, have a study of the Bible at home...Most don't even own a Bible anymore; or if they do it is dust covered and forgotten. WE MUST TURN BACK TO THE GOD OF OUR FATHERS IF WE ARE TO HAVE ANY CHANCE FOR THIS COUNTRY TO CONTINUE!!

Obama didn't cancel the National Day of Prayer but he did choose not to attend where past Presidents did.

Bravo! Ever hear of the separation of Church and State? The 1st Amendment of the Constitution reads: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ." I think it's great.
