That's what's funny. Only 3 Republicans voted for this thing. So when this blows up (and it will) they can say, see we were against it from the very beginning.



Huckabee said that the stimulus package bill was over a 1000 pages. If you could read at a college level, it'd take you 12 straight hours (no bathroom breaks) to read every page.



I guess Congress got the bill the night before they were supposed to vote on it so there was no time to read it all. Coincedence?? Don't think so.



Did y'all hear that now Obama was to upgrade Marine One?? I think Fox reported it would cost $40 billion dollars to overhaul the fleet of 11 helicopters. Do we really need to do that now?????

I can't wait til 2010 either...In a way I think Obama winning the election was probably a good thing. This country needed a new dawning of moral and fiscal conservatism. I don't think it would have happened if McCain got in there. Now Obama has been given the chance to show what he can do...which we all know is going to be nothing good. If there is anything that will bring the conservatives together fighting I think it's Obama. Let's just hope he doesn't do too much damage.

"I'm from Hawaii and am used to having things warmer."  Well, correct me if I am wrong, but didn't he just move from Illinois where they have....SNOW??  

This guy is a maniacal facist.  He is about a commy as you get!  What I don't get is why people can do their homework before signing the darn thing!  I think there are going to be a lot of people surprised by how little they get out of this whole crap shoot!  All this does is pay Obama's loyal supporters for helping him win the election.....gag!

There is scientific proof that this world has actually been in a state of global cooling for years now. In fact, have you noticed that most politicians don't use the phrase "global warming" anymore. They say "Climate change". That way whatever the term en vogue is they are never actually wrong. If it wasn't so scary it would actually be comical.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I think we should take care of our environment. But do I need to advertise that ? No. But these people think they are doing soooo much good they can't help themselves and try to advertise all the good they are doing as much as possible, instead of just doing it. Obama is a prime example. He says one thing and as one pointed out,  doesn't hesistate to jet set places which is costlier on the environment than anything most of us could possibly do to it.

Considering the founder of the weather channel doesn't believe in global warming and is suing Al Gore for his lies, I don't know that I believe all the crap out there on global warming anyway.

It's what the talking heads have to say that count and they are all in Obama's pocket. People so badly want to be "green" they don't even think about it. If someone says it is green, they latch onto it like it's the greatest thing in the world. It makes me sick. That is why I refuse to buy all the "green" crap out there that just advertises how green people are being. I don't need to carry a bag that says recycle on or it how green I am for using it to be green. But apparently most people have to feel good about what they are doing and advertise to everyone else to be affective.

Hey I'm all for being truly "green"  I don't want to do anything to harm our country and environment, but those who subscribe to the idea that having a little Prius is going to change anything is delusional.  How in the world can we do anything to help our environment when our President is just burning up fuel to make a point!  But we've all known for a while that the Liberal mentality is not to actually live according to the word they preach, it's to make other people feel bad for not living according to the word they preach.  The more depressed the American spirit is the easier it is for them to take control.

Of course they don't want to dirty their hands! The only reason Obama and the liberals took so much this year is playing on peoples fears and worries. Obama won the election based on the fact that he would save the economy. If he can't fix this then what is there for American's to have any confidence in him. His presidency hinges on this bill. He needs to set up as many fall guys as humanly possible!

I find it humorous that so much emphasis was put into getting Republicans to back this bill and they keep backing off and not wanting anything to do with it. The Dems have the majority. They don't need the republicans to vote yes on it, they can push it through on their own... but they don't want to dirty their hands without dirtying everyone else's. That way when it fails and we are in the hole for even more money and perhaps one day in the future have to depend on another country because we are so in the hole, they want to be able to share the blame with the republicans. I say it is high time the conservatives took a stand and refused to go along with it. That is why they were elected and why they are there. Not to play nice and get along and do what everyone else is doing but to stick to their conservative prinicples.

I'd encourage people to pay attention to their reps in Washington and see who votes for and against stuff while Obama is ruling... that way you can vote in your local elections accordingly.

Un fortunately there are 'way too many in this country that have never read the Bil of Rights, never having been taught such in school. They have the misguided notion that they are owed the gifts of life. Just by being alive in America they deserve houses, a job making at least 45K a year(even if they don't work,) oh yeah a BIG check comes with that at tax return time. How can someone expect to be handed benefits of a hard earned life, how could parents have allowed their kids to be so misled? Even if school got away with teaching these things in scholl , do parents not talk to theier kids at home? I guess I really WS the odd parent , teaching my kids to think for themselves...

It's funny how they were in such a hurry for the stimulus to get passed, but Obama is taking his time to sign it now. Anyway, the liberals were always griping about the Iraq war, because it just cost soo much money, but if you check on wikipedia, it will tell you that the Iraq war has cost 550 Billion. We all know Obama has exceeded that number the first month of his presidency. This so called stimulus has so much pork and socialism in it, it's scary. I also heard on the radio this morning that it has a program in it to demand that all Americans have to have their guns registered by the next few years, including antique guns or any that were given to you. It's just scary, that is usually the beginning of losing our rights to bear arms.

What is shocking is hearing that no one read a bill they just signed. That is really scary to me and I bet over the next few weeks we will find out just how scary that will be. The stimulus package was never meant to stimulate the economy. We are in a time where citizens feel we are in crisis. They are depressed and downtrodden and they are desperate for things to get better. The package was used as a tool to backdoor social programs and liberal agendas. People hear stimulus and they think their life will get better and they don't pay attention or don't mind the attacks on our civil liberties that this package is full of. Time for Americans to stop necessarily worrying about today and start looking at the country and economy that we are leaving for a children and grandchildren. If things continue at this rate I'm afraid the great America we all know and love will be lost forever.

Rush also said he cannot find one thing in the package that will actually simulate the economy, but rather everything is going to cost money. It's going to be up to businesses to figure it out and for people to be frugal (which isn't really stimulating).

I love the fact we have someone like Sean Hannity breaking it down for us.  It's not like we will be informed by the other media. I think we should pay Obama and the rest of congress $13 a month, and tell them to have fun with it.  What am I saying, they just gave themselves a raise last week.
