No surprise there.

http://www.texasinsider.org/?p=15855

Reid, D-Nev., said he would not ask the Senate committee chairmen or Congress “to do anything that would distract from efforts to address” health care, climate change, an overhaul of the nation’s financial regulatory system and oversight of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hmm.. and making sure that the tax payers money doesn't go to corrupt organizations doesn't fall under the oversight of the govt? =P

I guess Amy, that would be up to the judge to interpret the law for the intent it was written. We will see how the judge's ethics guides the decision. The video is out there regardless, and any judge going against the people and good common sense is a fool.

I read about ACORN suing the journalist because Maryland requires the recorded to be notified...I thought that only applied in a court of law...As in, you can't use it as evidence in a court case, but if you want to post the crap you saw/heard in a publicly accessed institution, you could....

Quoting Gina:

Did you know who is investigating acorn now. If you watch Glenn Beck's show from yesterday he goes into detail about who is investigating it. Basically it is a bunch of cronies who are already involved in Acorn. So you know somehow they will end up on top. Maybe they will change their name, and then pop up a new form of acorn.

I also found it interesting that when Obama was asked about Acorn, you clearly knew he did not want to talk about it, and changed the subject by saying that there are more important matters for him to be worrying about. Yet when he was asked about the White Sox's season, he went into detail, because you know baseball is more important than Acorn I guess.

Our whole govt. is so corrupt and disgusting. I seriously don't know which of them to trust anymore. I really think they all need to be yanked out, and start over new.

I'm so freaking tired of the BS!  When will the insanity end??

I'm calling my reps to press for an INDEPENDENT investigation!!

LoL Teresa - The term 'twit' is too PC of you. I could think of a better name.

I don't know how it could just disappear, Laura. It's too big. The people are on to the administration now.

Yes, I heard about the lawsuit. Can we say FRIVOLOUS? If the judge who presides over the trial has even 2 brain cells, then it should be a brief trial.

Let's just hope the judge isn't one of the twits on "The View".

This is just going to disappear and ACORN will be made stronger. Can you believe the denials that came out of Obamas mouth about ACORN. This is the kind of stuff that just makes me sick. The corruption is right there in everyones face...DO SOMETHING.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I read earlier today that ACORN is suing the journalists that posed as the pimp and prostitute. Gotta love America. Home where criminals are rewarded and heroes are punished.

Well when you have a president that lies so much, and the koolaid drinkers have selective memory loss this is what happens. Obama came out and said that he didn't know that Acorn was receiving Federal Funding on Monday. (What a load of BS). The house and senate voted to stop the funding. Sweeping it all under the rug, so Messiah doesn't get any more bad publicity for his ties to the organization. Shhh... media. "Let bygones be bygones." This is a slap in the face to all of us.
