Tea Parties!

[deleted account] ( 21 moms have responded )

Hey, one thing we could all do is take part in the Tea Parties that are going on around the country, most on the 15th to coincide with Tax Day. I'll be attending one here in Carson City, Nevada. The more Americans that attend these, the better. Congress and Mr. Obama need to see that what they are doing with all this non-existent money is wrong!

But if you do attend, BEWARE - Code Pink and ACORN are supposed to be out circulating petitions, pretending they're with the Tea Party cause. Our group decided to just stay away from the petitions and kindly ask them to move on.

But we still are gonna be there! Viva la Conservativa! :)

There was one in Lansing, and it had a fairly decent turn out. I didn't get to go though, otherwise I'd would have been right there in the front row. With the way things are in Michigan, I doubt it did much or even made any kind of dent. I think it's good to get your voice heard anyway. I hope this sent a good message to Mr. B.O.!

I'm gong to our local tea party here in Stockton, California. I'm taking my son and my 2 nephews. I thought it would be a good opportunity to let them see their first amendment at work, not to mention a historical moment.

You live in Ohio don't you, I seen your goin to cbus for yours. I am closer to Cleveland so thats the one I would go to. I don't necessarily feel to safe in cleveland, that's why I am debating on if I should take my kids an almost 3 yr old, and a 17 month old.

How far from Canton and Mansfield are you? I know they are having Tea Parties too. Cleveland is pretty safe as long as you stay on the main roads. I don't know that I would feel safe taking my kids though.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't fear the Tea Party Goers but apes like Code Puke and nuts like ACORN causing trouble. Those people ALWAYS cross the line....but there is a little part of me that would like my kids to see what TRUE freedom of speech looks like....you know before its snuffed out? We took horrible defeats here in the election yesterday. Although margins on the wins were small, we gained no ground. I keep telling myself, keep voting the tides will turn but it is hard not to be discouraged. The most liberal criminal siding judge EVER just got another 10 year term. I want to puke. I need to live somewhere else......Doyle is the WORST governor! My SD is 8 and my son is 5. We will be right in the heart of SF on Wednesday the 15th. Its a terribly liberal town so I doubt there will be more than 5 people there. Should be interesting. Sorry I had to delete that Obama youtube thing, every time I heard that chant I wanted to wretch!

Do you think it's safe to take young children to a tea parties?? I am asking this only b/c if their were other protesters, protesting the tea party. I want to make sure it would be safe for my children to go.

I like how they are spinning it as the wealthy right wanting less taxes too. I don't think that is at ALL what this is about. I think its a way to let Washington know that WE DECIDE, and come tomorrow when we vote locally here, EVERYONE needs to get those stupid idiots out of office! We have local voting here tomorrow and I HOPE, HOPE and PRAY that folks go out to and make a statement. I know its a big dream, but we have a local mom who's running for superintendent of schools here. She's got GREAT ideas and she's dead on about performance, pay, and parental involvement. She's being slammed in the media by the smarmy leftists who are painting her as sort of Palin like, a mom with no brains, and no official experience. I say if t works for our president, why not a lowly state super intendant right? I think we have to start hanging the left on their own words. They can't have it both ways. They talk out of both sides of their mouths and the LSM does nothing to point that out. I think its more important now to make the right's agenda to unseat ALL of congress as a lesson. I think we need to push for term limits to get career criminals out of office and then start tasking them to be better with our money. Tie their pay to the deficit. If we have a deficits then it comes out of their term salaries each year until they DO balance it. I think they need salary caps and that their pay should NEVER be something THEY vote on, but that WE vote on. They essentially feel they work for themselves and NOT for us. Its clear by their pet projects, porkulus spending and haughty arrogant manners when defending themselves. They need to be taught a lesson and that can ONLY be to move them out of office at all cost. The reelection rate should not be 98% when their approval rating is in the single digits.

GET OUT AND VOTE! VOTE in each election you in your district. Grab your neighbor, you relatives, your co-workers and get them to vote to. I'm literally sick and tired of hearing people gripe but then find out that nearly 50% of the country didn't even vote for the president! These small state and local elections barely get any votes and PEOPLE.....that is where it STARTS! They get in office there and its like trying to thread a camel through a needle to get them out of office.
Look at the caliber of people we are up against! Look how stupid they are?!?!? I honestly think they are horses that you CAN lead to water, you just need them to THINK they led themselves there.
I'm not sure if this was posted here but its AMAZING!

I'm with you Jan - I think they need their own 'performance pay' program as well, and I LOVE your idea!  You basically hit the nail on the head.  I am rounding up friends of mine to go with me up to Boise's tea party and we are going to pull our kids out of school with the excuse that they are learning to exercise their 1st ammendment rights. =)

And I agree with the youtube video.  Once I stopped being so shocked that there really are people out there that are THAT ignorant...I had to laugh my face off!  This should be NO CONTEST!  We will take back our country if we can get enough people out there to stand up!

I can't get the link to the youtube video but its GREAT. Go to youtube and type in "How Obama got elected...interview with Obama voters. Its a freaking crazy video that will make you laugh at how ignorant the LEFT and Obama voters truly are. SO why can't the right come up with a brain washing scam like this? I mean we're battling the Colbert Report here!

It's funny this one protest is being considered a right wing nutjob thing but everytime the liberals protest their cause of the week it's just them using their freedom of speech.  There are people at these liberal protests that travel around and protest anything, i remember seeing an interview with a couple of them and they didn't even know what they were there protesting it was just another stop on their cross country tour to try and relive the 60s

Get this my Liberal Atheist brother is attending a tea party in Virgina TODAY! He put a post on his facebook page saying he was heading out to see the moronic right host a teat party for lower taxes! I posted back......a tea party NOT on the 15th, that is moronic :) My backhanded slap in the face so to speak. His a pompous self rightous thing that I try NOT to dicuss ANYTHING but polite topics with.

Get this! We are headed to SF on the 13th and I THINK I'm going to coincide my trip into the city with their Tea Party. I have a feeling that slime ball groups like Code Pink and ACORN will be there since its Platex Pelosi's district but to see people in that city outraged would be GREAT for my conservative morale!

Jennifer,

Something I have put out there is if you know any service men & women you need to get thier picture and take it to the teaparty with you so that they can be represented because they can't attend so if we let them know that we are willing to represent them and give out your e-mail address so they can send you pics of themselves would be great...if they are willing to put themselves in harms way for us then we should beable to carry thier pics to the Teapartys...

Also, there are fair tax rallies going on in many places around the country.  I'm not sure, but I think they are listed under www.boortz.com.  DON'T TREAD ON ME!

You can also send a tea bag to your US Senator and Congress Rep, but send to their state office versus Washington DC as it goes through a clearinghouse and will never get to them. I heard the date for this is April 1st, but I don't imagine it matters...the point is the same.
