Tea Party as Third Party?

I'm sure most of you have heard in some areas there are organizing efforts for a Tea Party as a Third Party. What do you gals think about this? Would you switch party affiliations or do you feel thrid parties are a bad thing becuase they split the base against the Democrats? I've really only been to a few of their websites, I'm really drawn to it but my husband's afraid of losing again- he feels that's how CLinton got elected in the first place :-)

I agree Gina. The truth is McCain would not have been all that great either. For America to not just thrive, but just to survive and remain free we need a drastic change. We NEED a party that represents us, our beliefs and a party that will stand up for us and protect the Constitution and our rights as Americans. A party that is sincere and not just talking out of their ***'s like the dems. and the reps. A party that is for US (the people), not just themselves.

I have had those same feelings. I think what I have decided is, with McCain he wasn't someone I truly believed in, but voted for him because I thought he was a lesser evil than Obama. We still lost, so basically I think if we just stick to our guns and vote for people we truly feel we can support, then I don't think you could go wrong. I know that the tea party is gaining popularity, and the last time I heard, it had more support than the other two parties. Maybe this is what we need, a new party that represents Americans, and not the other two parties that only represent big business and themselves.
