I am loving this story coming out of England regarding Obama giving Queen Elizabeth an Ipod as a gift. Nothing symbolic just an Ipod.!As if that wasn't bad enough, he downloaded it with his own speeches. What???I am sure that is just what Queen Elizabeth wanted to listen to as she works out! LOL! Not to mention a while back, Obama gave the Prime Minister of England a bunch of his favorite DVD movies, while the Prime Minister gave Obama a symbolic pen holder made from oak timbers from a former slave ship! Is there anyone out there that feels like I do- that this is the most ridiculous, narcissistic and truly stupid thing ever! Wow- the White House is in some desperate need of class and respectibility.

Listen to this, ladies! Our beloved leader returned a gift that was given to us by the Brits after the 9/11 attack. It was a bust of Winston Churchill, which has been sitting in the Oval office since then. What a despicable moron! Who in the world gives back a gift let alone a gift of a bust of their national hero?

I can only imagine how shocked the Brits must have been. I wouldn’t be surprised if he replaced it with the bust of Lenin or Mao for crying out loud!

I wonder if he is going to explain why he returned it because that just seems really rude to me.  It was a gift to show that their country stood with America after a terrorist attack why the heck wouldn't he want to keep that?  If he doesn't want it in his office im sure the 9-11 memorial site would have a place for it when they finished rebuilding the towers.

But he gave dvds and an ipod as gifts so him regifting doesn't seem like such a shock now does it?

I ask you this, why is he so concerned with making the Muslim countries our BFF and alienating our closest ally? Scary!! And this is the man who adamantly campaigned that he's not Muslim and didn't want to be associated with them at all, now the sudden change of heart. Ulterior motives??

Here is the full story:

Obama Disses Brits, Will Media Miss?

Barack Obama loves Lincoln. It seems not a day goes by that he isn't quoting the Civil War icon or comparing himself to that great man. But it looks like we are finding one great leader that Barack Obama doesn't like so much: Winston Churchill.

It appears that President Obama is dissing the Brit's most famous and stalwart leader by quickly returning the most famous bust of the man loaned to this country by the United Kingdom in the aftermath of 9//11. The return of the bust of Churchill flustered the British government because they didn't ask for it to be returned. Our best ally was nonplussed and even quickly told Obama he could keep it in the Oval Office where Bush had displayed the piece of art. Obama told them no thanks which made the Brits even more amazed.

So, Barack Obama, the man that would "fix" our "bad image" with the rest of the world, we were told by the media, has just dissed Churchill after only a month in office? And, according to one of the only stories I can find on this incident, the British government has been made nervous about the relationship between England and the U.S. because of the casual return of their generously loaned Churchill bust.

I mean, this abrupt return of the Churchill statue is sort of odd. Would it have hurt anything to keep the thing? After all, it made the Brits feel good and American's have a connection to Churchill, too (besides WWII). His mother was from our shores after all.

Whatever the case may be, the bust now sits in the home of the British ambassador in Washington D.C.

Now I wonder if anyone in the U.S. media will bother to report on an incident that that has caused diplomatic consternation, an incident perpetrated by the Obammessiah himself.

Again... wasn't Obama the one that was going to make every ally ecstatically happy?

Wait did he know they gave it to us?  I haven't heard anything about this because i haven't had the tv on for awhile.  I got tired of hearing about how much they loved michelle over there.  They can have her if they love her so much.

Lindsay,

Apparently he did know. I am going to quote newsbusters.org:

“ One of his first official acts was to summarily return to the Brits the generous gift of the most famous bust of Winston Churchill that has sat in the Oval Office since the attacks on 9/11.

This threw British diplomats into a tizzy really blindsiding them. Even when they reiterated that Obama could keep the generous gift to the American people, he rejected it without comment leaving the Brits at a loss for words.

Now, I thought that Obama was going to improve our relations with "the world" once he took office? So far, all he's done is tell our enemies he's their friend and carelessly wave off our actual friends.

… the U.S. Old Media has been ignoring this story.

Imagine that?”

Wow, just researched that story a little.  His lack of tact truly is amazing.

I couldn't agree more, Julie. It truely terrifies me, I just hope America wakes up to see his true colors sooner then later.

So many people are reticent to go that far, but I agree.  This man and his wife, and his friends, and his associates all harbor enormous resentment toward this country and what we stand for (or at least used to stand for).  I think he is very dangerous and hope that we have a country to save in four years -- assuming he doesn't name himself King or Supreme Ruler by then. ;-)

That's pretty arogant to put your own speaches onto a gift you give someone. Whenever I watch Obama speach, I am amazed at how he sounds like a robot. I think the Queen could use it to put her to sleep, or to count how many times he can say...uh....in a speach!

Julie- I totally agree. I don't know if I have ever witnessed a more arrogant, self-serving president than this one. I am starting to believe he wants America to fail and become a second rate country!

I find it amazing that he has the audacity to accuse the American people of arrogance and his lack of attention to proper protocol is the most outward demonstration fo arrogance that I have ever seen!  It would seem that he is projecting his own sentiment onto the American people.  Unreal.

I think it's a pretty lame gift.  I put more thought into gifts i buy for distant family members  i don't even know than he did for the Queen,
